Why does she fight it?
These feelings she certainly has
I see it when she closes her eyes
Hear it in the catch of her breath
Sense it when she is so close
Would she but see?
What’s there before her
Perceive the racing of my heart
The blood coursing through these veins
Pounding the rhythm we might share
I bide my time
Fill inked pages with angst
Yearn in dark dreams
She has the key
Can unlock this mortal coil
