maybe it’s my fault

i didn't give enough

but i tried my best

to crawl out of my safe place

but somehow everything outside of it

felt so unsafe

maybe if you didn’t give me that much space

our worlds would keep pace

but when i created distance

you doubled it

and now we’re left with nothing

it’s funny how i only blame myself

like everything was in my hands

but if it was i’m glad it died

cause that would only mean

nothing was ever ours

only mine
