Flesh upon

Light upon

A cobbled walkway

Soothing peace

A mast and compass

Vessel sails

On waters, troubled

Portion of

My languished heart

Separated

Blessing, double

Tower, strong

A hiding place

Shield and sword

A refuge, mine

Nowhere without

Passed, my life

A legacy

To pen my thoughts

Each day

So when I’m gone

And looked upon

My breath lives

On each page

A map and clues

To buried treasure

Hidden

’neath the grave

A journal

Of my travels

A piece of me
