What Is Love?

Love

Such a pure emotion, no matter how complicated

It can save, blind, even destroy

But it never fades easily

Whether we want it to or not

To express love is to bare your own weaknesses to another

To open yourself to being hurt

Praying it never happens

To sob when it inevitably does

Because love is one of the strongest sensations of all

One that sticks around forever,

Turning your life into an ugly mess

But love can be a saving grace too

It can inspire people to better themselves

To look out for one another

To respect boundaries and barriers

It can teach the ways of kindness

It can create a state of bliss,

Motivation just to get through another day

In the end, love is what we flawed humans make of it
