Challenge
The 55 Challenge –The English language is a living, breathing, expanding phenomenon. Year after year, new words are coined as time, technology, world events, and fashions dictate—but fads are fickle. Many words remain as mainstays to our evolving language and how we use or misuse it. And this challenge is about words—see the description.
5 words of your choosing but in order to do so, you MUST go to this link: https://www.merriam-webster.com/time-traveler/2016 ... simply copy/paste to your browser … you will see a box on the page—just type in your date of birth to find words that were first coined for that year … Pick 5 words (some may actually be two or three words, as a well-known phrase, but only counts as one) for a 5 line stanza (no run-on lines please), so make this a true quintet. I have alloted for a total of 55 words. Do not tell anyone what words you have chosen … see if the reader can spot them. Tag me in the comment portion @Danceinsilence … and I will start it off, so you get the idea.

Diet Change

Frogs affected by chytridiomycosis,

(Where RNAi is unable to determine the pathogen's mechanisms),

Has left the flexitarian of thirty,

To turn to pikeminnows for food,

Along with his daily dose of microgreens.

***

Bonus points if you can figure out the year the words were invented - no cheating! Just take a wild guess!
