dreamless

the land of forgotten

and lost dreams

a dreary place

is how it may seem

but step inside

this world of wonders

where hopelessness grows

in spontaneous colors

too many times

i feel like i must

avert my eyes

to see these horrors

in disguise

to know i

will never be alive

for i have never

truly lived

despite the air i breathe

and the blood i give

all my dreams have

been dumped here

and i stand dreamless

in constant fear

what if life

just passes by
