Man to man the world over shall brothers be...

They defended us

In times when external aggressors

Rattled-sabres and jackboots

Frog marched

Innocents to their graves

Through chambers doom filled with gas

Or to lines of angry rifles ready

Poised to snuff life away in a

White Hot Instant.

Even now Our World

Forgets.

Forgets that tyrants rain

Tyranny.

Reign supreme.

Forgets that the refugees are we

But for the grace of God,

Buddha, Shiva, or General Electric.

The amnesiac generation will need defending once more.

But next time.

Let us not forget.

Let us remember.

There are no races.

Nations' imagined communities.

A man's a man for aw that. And woman too.

Or however you identify.

Let us build a new world where they aren't needed.

When sacrifice of life and limb

For greedy expansion or desperate defence

Are as unimaginable to them...

As peace and brotherhood is to us.

I am 21 years or older.
