It was never the force of his hand that left the scar

That would never heal

It was never the bruise that lingered

Red and purple fading to yellow

It was the still in the air

The atmosphere he´d cut with a knife

It was his words that brutally sliced into my core

The things he said to weaken and demean me

Quiet secret things only said when we were alone

Or whispered in a crowd

Never heard by anothers ears

They broke me

They made me small

Until that day I disappeared
