Hymnal For the Cold

Where some of us live

It's a mystery every winter

Whether it'll come or pass

Whether it'll stay for the weekend or until the festivities are over

We sing, dance, laugh, play around it

It makes the season even more beautiful

No matter how much cocoa we drink

Presents we give

Carols we sing

We can't make it appear

Mother Nature must bless us with it

The powder

So delicate

The slightest touch will destroy a hundred flakes

Nonetheless

There is already a string of a thousand more already taking its place

Drifting

Piece by piece

Creating a landscape so perfect

It looks as if a god had crafted it himself

Perhaps that's why we carve angels into it
