Magnificence

We rose and reunited

     from smoke and obscurity

     transcendence of two souls

     withering in time

     into a new magnificence

happiness rekindled

     in the glowing light

     shining stars, connected

     yearning arms opened wide

     meeting on the other side

     engorged on plates of passion

holding tiny grains in our hands

     we never really left at all

     reunited in death, we meet again

     our ghosts tango in illusory shadows

     in bygone steps of timeworn past

     exhaling sun in champagne bliss.
