Wither away

The thoughts in your mind,

Just wither away.

Like the sands on the beach,

They create a masterpiece.

...oh hell, who am I kidding?

Writers block isn't amazing.

It's a disaster.

Not only for the writer,

But for the work of art they're creating.

While yes, the words disappear from your mind;

They seem to come back to when you least expect it.

....

Who am I to say

Say that words are gone?

Gone and so I long

Long for the words to come back

Back to my mind so I don't slack

Slack on my work anymore

Anymore so I can work on folk lore

....yep...they're gone for now once again...

So who knows when

The words will return to my mind

So until then I'll return to the grind

That I call life
