The Ghosts of Relationships Past are afoot;

Jacob Marley never met these kind of spooks.

Every mention leaves me shaken and shook

and I know that they've got claws and hooks

instead of chains, but they're in my man

and it's not anything that I can ban,

so instead I weather it as best I can,

feelin' like a third hull on a catamaran.

The ghosts whisper in my ear all the night long,

telling their tales and singing their songs,

letting me know I don't really belong,

like a pack of Twinkies in a box of Ding Dongs.
