The existence of volcanoes is more promising when the sky is gray and contains a bellyful of stars.

Peach daffodils on the prairie of our love, it’s fragmented but stitched together with some kind of brilliant evergreen.

I Still Remember Her

So easily I take the place of a cloud

And start to imagine soft surroundings

How fresh the wound

When I can’t seem to touch the ground

And then she’s all around

Too many times I counted stars

Unequal to the tears in my heart

But when I try to picture a place

It’s undoubtedly still glowing

An ever-changing labyrinth

In the center of a rose

Dreams hold me down

Cement my feet

Mud between bare toes

I can almost hear the feathers

Floating through thin, cool air

Can almost feel wisps of them

Fluttering against eyelashes

Breezing through hair

It’s been months

Seconds

Minutes

Weeks

And yet,

I still remember her

The Yin and Yang of Desire

Living in the darkness

Delighting in shadows

But still craving those decadent rays

It’s almost as if this Vampire was in love

With Summertime

If only once I could taste the glow

The soft folds of roses dance with sunflowers

Stolen from the maidens of Time

A blushing, torn and silky mess

I crumble

Soft bulbs buried deeply in earth

Poke up through delicate toes

I forget what wanting feels like

But the ocean knows my name

Sacred tendrils float up

To the soft skin covering my bones

I trade roses and sunflowers

For anemone and forlorn

Silver teardrops grace supernatural lovers’ eyes

The smoky swirls of water

Are my only tangible delight

I smell dew drops

I feel fine

So Circe leave me be

Just send me gifts of kingdoms

And rivers

And flowers

As I curl-up in hollow sentience

A Gentle Assurance Upon Wings

Bye for now

Is what you spoke

So very many times

Meek and simple gesture

From a gorgeously decadent mind

Bye for now

Often there was annoyance

When you gifted this verbal gem

But, oh,

What I would sacrifice

For that endearing phrase again

Your motherly heart

Your quote on a whim

A gentle assurance upon wings

What a shame I didn’t cherish

Those instances when

You bore your soul

Your being

I was a little too late

Like grasping ocean water

From moon’s waves

And while it was something of impermanence

On this sphere

Eternally it glows

Now living on through those who knew

Your grand celestial vocalization

Your perfectly softened voice

Your loving goodbye for every season

A Crossbow

A crossbow to the heart

Making lovers out of diamonds

Raw affinity has shaken

What was once a pure delight

Pond of Reflection

Falling through the cracks

A lovelorn face

Times that pass

Makes me suffer the fate

Of an elder female’s worries

When a woman of youth

Is the visage viewed

As I cross the pond of reflection

Renewed

Pondering a way

Not to sink

Not to sway

But to have love

One for the other

The Great Circle

Glowing rivers

Bleed into fire

Souls find love

Where spirits dance

The clouds churn to the beat of the song

The lyrics don’t matter

It’s the feeling that comes

Fleeting, fleeting, fleeting

Is our time with this magic

Mothers of babies

Protect precious minds

Let them know that time is not linear

The Brightest Stars

Sailing along the coast of Neverwhere

She spies upon the horizon

Something that resembles an angel

Overlooking kingdoms of carrion

Performing sacred dances

Within, without

A caring heart

A lullaby of thought

A poisoned dart

She takes her chances in the cold, cruel dark

And follows the brightest stars to somewhere

Elliana

She’s like a spring day

A bath full of sweet salts

An incantation of loyalty

She’s a dove with wings so small

But she never cries

And she never weeps

Elliana doesn't talk

She wears a bonnet made of freesia

That hides a halo made of weeds

And her tiny soul is on fire
