little girl,

how did you end up like this?

so beaten down and broken,

feeling like drowning when you're on the ground,

you were so full of joy,

played with the little creatures in the garden coaxing the injured ones to health,

sung whenever, wherever just cause you felt like it,

danced and didn't care what anybody else thought,

so what happened?

when did the flame inside wear down?

when did your eyes go tired and sunken, unfocused on reality?

i just wish i had answers, because now i'm here replacing what you once were,

and life isn't the same
