The Dove

I see winter as a dove.

The beautiful white feathers mirroring the beauty of the snowflakes.

Wings soar through the air like the gliding crystals.

And a cooing as soft as the blanket on the ground.

In and Out of Season

Winter-white

like polar bears,

dressed in fur as snow.

Blossoms spring

from pregnant mares

to calves

as bunnies grow.

Summer speckled

hummingbirds

chase

sunset swallowtails.

Velvet leaves

when elk emerge

in harems

led by males.

Animals For the Seasons

An animal could represent each season. This idea could make a great story book! But for now, I'll just put what I think each animal should be for each season and will explain why I think that way.

A baby lamb should be used for spring. A lamb is calm and peaceful and so is spring. A lamb is also delicate, so are the buds of newly sprouting flowers.

A wolf could be used for summer. A wolf is loyal, strong and loving, so is summer. Everything is fully developed and is strong, so are wolves.

Squirrels could be used to represent fall. Squirrels hoard and store nuts and are seen doing that nearly everywhere. Other animals such as chipmunks are probably doing the same thing.

An Arctic Wolf could be used to signify winter. A wolf is loyal and loving. Winter is harsh and strong, so are wolves.
