aftermath

aftermath of glory reigns, to

brittle shards of shattered chains,

cold and shallow, marble view,

dull and withered,

ethereal now subdued,

forever more in flames and fury,

grave mistakes and unknown misery,

hailstorms rain apathic words of

icy dismissal, insincere shame,

just a little, not an issue,

keep waiting, one day, maybe

light will reach the stars again,

maybe the world will shine,

not with war or strife

or instability, just

peace and prosperity, a

quiet rain, a little drizzle, where

rivers calm into little

streams of hidden thoughts, but the

tsunami rolls, covering the sun with

umber skies, wispy clouds with

vibrant glows of carnelian gold, and

whirling embers reduce it all to a

xeriscape of smoldering ruins

yeilding empty, broken stains, a

zion slipping through the smoke and pain

the abc’s of self love

always try your

best to be

courageous,

daring to try

even when

failure seems imminent.

get back up if you fall.

hurting

is only natural.

just remember,

kicking yourself does no good.

loving yourself is the key.

maybe you think that

nobody could ever love you.

oh, how little you know.

people you’ve never met

quick to judge, normally,

realize that you are amazing, and

seek to be around you. it’s

true; you draw people in,

unanimously claiming

votes for the

winner of their hearts.

(e)xamine your love now.

you have so many people

zesting to be around you.

you are perfect.

Naive

An aimless gaze

Bringing bliss

Causing chills, all

Directions missed

Entangled lies, done by

Fictitious scenes of

Giving love with

Hidden means

Inducing eyes always

Judging my moves

Knowing my weakness, then

Leaving me soothed

Mellow voice has

Never heard no

Omitting passion for a

Perfect show

Quietly cooed as we

Rest untouched, I'm

Sweetly embraced but

To stay is too much

Under your thumb with

Violence and yells, you

Whisper me under

Xanax’s calm spell

Your lips they tremble with

Zealous motivation, though you're looking at me... your heart is taken

my empyrean.

A simple thing

But everything to me.

Can you see it as I do?

Destiny plucks stars from the sky

Ending the pattern, spoken verbatim

For this.

Galectic beauty, beauty in the dissarray

Hell below is jealous of the heavens above.

I wonder how people can ignore it

Jaded in repetition, routine

Kept in the dark, eyes downcast.

Look up. you won't regret it.

Map the stars, again and again.

Nature demands to be seen.

Our world is graced by our heavens above.

Perspective swirls in the pattern it makes.

Queer, the things we are given.

Rare, yet so common

Simple, but utterly complex

Timeless, but missed in the rapid world we are trapped in.

Ubiquity that never gets old

Veiled no more

We look up at our sky

Xenolith in our dismal world

Yank your sight from the ground.

Zenithal paradise is waiting.

Mind In Memorium

A mind is a terrible thing to inhibit

Between a rock and a hard place, most choose ego

Cognitive dissonance becomes a reflex…

Disregarding all that disagrees with our reality

Extremes often seem to cut both ways

Flaying those who look too closely

Gander into the abyss…

Hope it does not feel your gaze

Ignorance is bliss but must bliss also be ignorant?

Justification and rationalization are too easily confused

Keep that gaze focused inward, but…

Listen to your mind and body in unison

More and more folks feel alienated by the world around

Now is the time we should be looking to make a change

Once we open our hearts our minds and worlds will follow…

Priorities shift from new perspectives

Quality far outweighs quantity in regards to time spent living

Respite found in the present moment is hardest to see

Stillness can be the greatest of all struggles

Time may be relative but seems more of an in-law

Understanding how your mind and body communicate is key

Verily,

Wondering is in essence movement…

X-rays of the world show curiosity is at its core

Yet here we are…

Zipping through life trying to shut down our thoughts rather than wonder...

Someday

A girl lived alone in the forest,

Beside a long river.

Caring about no one,

Dived in the woods like a loner.

Every single day she smiled,

Flying like a colorful butterfly.

Goes into a cave one day,

Halted then walked deep into.

"Is there someone?",

Jokingly she screamed.

Kept calling out,

Looking around.

Maybe there was a monster.

No, there can't be a giant

Or she'll have to fight.

Power she didn't had much,

Quest she had left untouched.

Receding back from the cave,

"Stop!!!", she heard someone's crave.

Turning backwards was not a choice,

Unclear and confused was her mind.

Valorous she thought to be,

Walking again towards the creature.

Xenophobic and therefore she lived away.

You never know when you change,

Zenith you will surely feel someday.

Childhood

A child

Bright lights

Crying

Different places

Eating hard foods

Figuring out words

Getting left behind

Helping another child

Interests are necessary

Jumping off playground not allowed

Kindergarten done

Learning more every day

New friends

Opening presents

Preparing for aging

Quaint living

Remember your youth

Staying in the hospital

Tired always

Under harsh lights

Voiceless

Wishing for release

Xylose down a tube

Yelling for life

Zero time left

Deaf Love

A wish speaks softly in deaf worlds for us

Becoming a composition in sign language

Creating songs of a lifetime tango for two

Dancing with our butterfly hands that talk

Eloquently moving conversation in place

Flowering every sweet moment of faith

Gracefully speaking of the love we share

Hearing with our hands and seeing forever

Imagining flight, we fly over the rainbows

Just as we are soaring now, we will always be

Kindling light on the two hearts that beat as one

Lady’s man finding everything she’s ever wanted

Moving universes closer to rhythm that she feels

Newer reaching stars are for touching our dreams

Onward and forward, we live in wide open spaces

Perfect pitch for a man in his rightful proposal

Quartets are singing in the constellations for him

Revisiting the night of his first embrace with her

Serenading the sweet silent hours of having it all

Truly hearing in ways that only the deaf are able

United with our moving hands and growing hearts

Very close to our precious wedding day to come

Willfully giving our lives to protect each other

Xenial reception from treasured family and friends

You are my safeguarding anchor, I am your wings

Zackary and Jaime, husband and wife, always one.

Far Out

All of the time

Baloney hits you like a

Cabbage with no taste

Daring to make its way through you

Eating through your body

Finishing you to your core

Great

Heavens

I was

Just dreaming

Kittens do that sometimes

Love them anyways

Make a wish

Not today

Or tommorow

Please, in a week from now

Quiet, its happening

Rainbows turn colorless

Sound

Turns to nothing

Unanimously,

Violins start playing

Weather gets mixed up

Xylophones start ringing

You start to dissapear

Zits start popping
