tomorrow, yesterday
yesterday
is gone.
written in the stars
the same I saw
when I awoke this morning.
I thought
maybe the dark sky
could hold my dark mood
through the night
and I could pick it up
and wear it the next day.
The sun came up after that.
have you ever noticed
that the best part of the day
is the sunrise?
the time
when the darkness is gone for a while
and the daylight is all the more sweeter?
today may be darkness,
but tomorrow,
the sun will rise again.
Until then,
I can admire
the stars of the night
and the smiles
of today.
