Together, we write — painting skies
Paper-white, swept on azure-blue
Raindrops, ink-storms mist our eyes
Pen’s to page as the cloud’s to the
One body, we lap mankind’s souls
Cerulean sketched ocean scapes
Sand fleas, building castles and moats
Cresting hearts, washed in lyrical waves
Architectural structures, sublime
Under me, under you; mystifies
Foundations of contrast and rhyme
Toothpick towers of phrase paradise
First, born in love with words; smitten
Aster flowers, bamboo branches and
Unnatural, squares - quilt patch
Ivy lattice laced prose, drawing bees
Eyes of artists see poems in living
Words work their ways into sonnets
Encouraging lambs in sheep’s clothing
Gifted writers, not just an(y) other
Stained glass windows; our joy in the
Scatters light, shades of heart’s hopeful
A lark in the woods should we wane
Inspiration, when words remain few
Verse-stippled pigments paint canvas
Writing fame with the stars in the sky
Tapestry, woven, we blanket
Carpe Noctem; blue-black seizing
Spilling ink from our vessels of clay
Bards bake pie; huckleberry hue
Staining flesh as our fingers, we splay
Art from words that will live on forever

Together we young teens can make a difference and take back what is our future.
Gather up the voices and forces we will make our system structured again .
Let it be known with just a simple vote we will not sit back watch our futures disappear .
You won't listen to us because we are stupid and young but what you don't realize we will fight for our future.
So goodbye to politicians thank you for doing nothing but fight.
Our combined votes just sent you a message loud and clear put up or don't let the door hit you in you butt!
The future is ours now let's make it happen and America will go on stronger forever.
You and Me
Together, I thought we can prove them wrong.
Together, I believed we were strong.
Together, I felt we were meant to be.
Together, against the world, it was you and me.
Together, I mourn that you said goodbye.
Together, thinking of you and wipe the tears in my eye.
Together, I am sad it will be never.
Together no more as you’re out of my life forever.
It whispered. She failed to concentrate on her work. Where was that voice coming from?
Her heart began to race. She checked the closet~ nothing. Under her bed— zilch.
She stared at the radio that looked as if it had been around for ages. The one her gruncle had handed to her when she turned nine.
The radio dials started to move. She stood frozen watching the peculiar action.
A voice beamed through the speaker:
“Together, you & I shall always will be.”
The lass was startled. She ran to check the radio. It had no batteries!
Once again, the radio tuned itself. What kind of prank was this?
The voice came out more clear this time:
“Louise, we will never let you go. You are stuck with us.”
She gulped. Then Louise asked in a trembling tone, “Who are you? How long....will you...keep bothering..me??”
“We are a part of you. How long have we been together? Our dear Louise, we have known you for a very long time. Ever since you were born.
“We don’t plan on leaving any time soon. In fact from the moment we met you, we decided to be with you forever.”
I was married once
Together we took a leap of faith.
I summoned the word love
To name the feeling of together with you.
Together we started a family.
I summoned the word courage
To name the feeling of sharing with you.
Together we turned from each other
I summoned the word desolate
To name the feeling of staying with you.
Together we separated
Together we ran on the playground.
My pigtails flew in the air.
‘Chase the boys’ girls happily cheered -
Felt like you were the only one there.
I called you names at lunchtime.
Over apples and sticks of cheese.
I didn’t mean a word I said -
Just wanted you to look at me.
Too worried that words would lead nowhere.
I kept chasing you around.
Until we became ‘too old’ for it -
Silence raiding the playground.
It got harder for you to notice me.
Without words, under braces and tears.
I noticed you lost your own voice too -
Victims of social-driven fears.
Until you dropped a pencil in September.
We reached for it, touched hands.
And as our eyes met - green and hazel -
I knew the Universe had a plan.
And you noticed me - so sweetly
And loved me like never before
And held me like I knew you would
And I couldn’t have asked for more.
In waves of scrapbooks and cheesy memories,
You still hold my hand so tight.
Wrinkles tell our stories now -
Muffled visions of a wonderful life.
With you, I found my voice again.
My words flow freely - fast.
I daydream of our future -
As I reminisce our perfect past.
And with you, I return to the playground.
A worry-free paradise of joy.
Where I can be that little girl -
Who fell in love with a boy.
And though we’re old and wrinkled
I wouldn’t trade it for anything - never.
I’d rather spend the rest of my days with you,
And be on our playground forever.
a wondrous word
as we two
You and I
to the lives
we hold dear
till death do us part
