Why the sky fell

The sky is falling

On the backs of the

Dreamers.

They tasted the clouds

And asked for more.

The sky is jumping

Into the arms of the

Hopeful.

Tongues still wet with rain.

Falling Blue

People fight, bloody and brutal,

Reveling in sheer violence

The sky cracks, tiny jagged scratches

Forming along its surface

People prey on one another,

Baring their fangs,

Wearing each other down

The cracks splinter,

Deepening from the sin

People hurl insults, curse the name

They shout over other sound,

Blocking positivity out

The cracks start to crumble,

Pieces of sapphire sky tumbling

Down, down, down

People hurt others,

Wounding them with words and weapons,

The blades of malice ever sharp

The sky falls apart,

Shattering into countless slivers

Once so beautiful, the sky is no more

It has forever fallen

Storm

Drops of rivulets,

of streams of falls,

of buckets and tumults

drowning us all.

The crashes and cracks

and thunderous roars;

cacophonous cries

shaking the floors.

Flashes of fire,

of flame of fear,

of electric rage

in burning spears.

The sky must be falling

or I am insane;

nothing else makes sense,

this is no mere rain.

Imaginary Sky

The sky

Running roads in the horizon

Ivory cobblestones

The architecture spotless

As rain drops fall

To bring forth life

From the earth below

The sky

Crumbling cake

Little pieces of azure

That start to crack and break

Spiderwebs spun

From the layers of atmosphere

An intricate pattern

Carved into the edges

Of the visible universe

The sky

Tumbling down

Massive boulders

Sky scrappers

Cloud cities

Shatter like ice

Shards of sadness

Of lost hope

And dying wishes

Disappearing before our eyes

The sky

Is fake

Imaginary

As pixels

Ravage the sky

A clash of codes

Let battle angels fly

In the armeggedon

Abandoned reason

Anarchy reigning

A demonic expression

Sinister grin

Blood-red eyes

Of the darkness hidden

By the shield of ignorance

That was the sky

But now we know the truth

As the heavens die

The sky was a cover

Hiding reality

For the world was nothing

But a mere simulation

Ciel Nevaeh Lani

The night sky filled with stars

makes me imagine so many

slight, twinkling things.

The day sky with its one big star

informs my one great imagine.

I always have her... at least.

She gets brighter and warmer

like summer drawing near.

I see the colors she puts

all accross the heavens.

And the sky which she fills

with shapes, shades, & textures.

They all reflect in my eyes.

She comes to me again

while I wake, sleep, breath,

and shocks me when, finally,

she exists in my reality.

It's overwhelmingly like

the sky is falling on me!

Cloudbreak

The sky is falling because we let it

forgot our Thoreau

built castles in the air, and infatuated

with their splendour forgot foundations

building them bigger, grander

to forget the world below

In our escape we neglected them

starting afresh when we were bored

just wasn't working for us

but how could we know for sure

when we never stayed to find out

kept moving, chased, perhaps,

towards that perfection we are told

to strive for or else away from all

that reminded us who today is

And now we command our children

to bring bricks and mix the mortar

for their castles shall be the grandest yet

so beautiful and pure, may they never leave

forgetting once more our lesson

the one we never really learned

that in reaching we find ourselves again

Blue Expanse of the Heavens

The sky grows dark

A dismal gray

Heavy-weighted

Bleak; dismay

The future holds

No hope, I see

The sky is falling

Crushing me

The atmosphere

Perfect in blue

Windswept clouds

Wash over you

A promise

Stretches endlessly

Colors, bowed

Refracting thee

Light, upon

The clear expanse

Sun rises, high

And sets against

Faithful, like

The best of friends

The azure blankets

Comfort, when

I think, often

Significance

Can’t be found

In thy expanse

Amongst the stars

And Milky Way

Perfect, we’re placed

To witness shades

Prussian blues

Oranges ink’d

Pour painting

Canvas; purples, pink

The sky is falling

When I fail

To see the sky

As Heaven’s veil

breakthrough

When your sky is falling and you’re digging your way out of the rubble know the sky never fell, the ceiling did. Sometimes you need to break through the ceiling to get to the next level. The sky never fell, the world never ended, and what’s above is greater than the rubble below.

Climate change

Little sister

The sky is falling

Great rocks of fire

Break through the atmosphere

The sky is red

The oceans rise

Here the mothers eat their young

A vengeful God?

Or a result of our own selfish humanity

Did you ever say something nice?

No wander it's falling.

Been coming for a while.

People grumbled when they were grey.

They wanted to fly off,

Get a better one.

And when it was blue,

They squinted,

And talked of migraines.

As if it's the Sky's fault,

Our skulls are two sizes too small.

And we could not take the time,

To stop and clean up a bit.

Blinding it, with those awful,

silvery 'scrapers, glaring in the afternoon.

So it had enough.

It decided to call it quits.

Do what we always dreamt of,

And get a better place.

Serves us right.
