Lumineux

I own the stars

I’ve buried them in your eyes

Don’t sleep, please

I’m not ready for the dark

Keep your eyes open

I need you for your light clusters

des libellules écarlates

et le dire au vent pâle nocturne,

cette essence qui subsistes,

des sons doux dans l'obscurité.

quelles villes sont si belles

qu'elles peuvent pas être détruites?

et j'ai détruit;

scarlet dragonflies

and tell it to the pale night wind,

that lingering essence,

soft sounds in the darkness.

what towns are so fine

that they cannot be destroyed?

and i have destroyed;

i have rained fire from the mountain

like goliath, like vesuvius,

on the night

the stone turned to ash

in the mouths of the laity.

the idea of the smoke has become

the sound; the cure

which i brought home from

lugano, where the tide has made

caricatures of the laity.

and they once again fall

under the bleak knife of the night wind.

and they once again are holy

and keep their word.

never again

Nigdy nie będziesz mnie miał

nie chce już być pod twoimi skrzydłami

kiedy przez ciebie _nie mogę latać

nie chce płynąć w twojej rzece

jeśli wciąż _brak mi tchu

przecież twoje ręce

one chcą mnie tylko dla siebie

a ja chcę być wolna

chcę latać w przestworzach

i unosić się na fali

a nie utonąć

i spadać w przepaść

przecież wiesz, że cię kocham

ale nie chcę twoich więzi i kajdanek

ja chcę twojej miłości

ale ja już nie należę do ciebię

i nigdy nie będę twoja

nie chce już być pod twoimi skrzydłami

kiedy przez ciebie _nie mogę latać

nie chce płynąć w twojej rzece

jeśli wciąż _brak mi tchu

You will never have me

I no longer want to be under your wings

when because of you _I cannot fly,

I don’t want to swim in your river

when I am always running _out of breath,

but your hands

they only want me for themselves

and I want to be free

I want to fly in heavens

and float on the waves

and not to drown

and fall into the depths,

you know that I love you

but I don’t want your chains and handcuffs

I want your love

I don’t belong to you

and I will never be yours again

You will never have me

I no longer want to be under your wings

when because of you _I cannot fly

I don’t want to swim in your river

when I am always running _out of breath

Libre

Alguna vez te quise

pero tú nunca supiste

quererme ni apreciarme,

cuidarme ni adorarme.

Dijiste que me amabas

pero cruel fue tu mirada

el día que decidiste

olvidar lo que prometiste.

Juraste serme fiel

con tus palabras de miel

pero sólo me decías

lo que a ti te convenía.

Fuiste todo un egoísta,

cobarde y pesimista.

Te perdí todo respeto

y nunca fue secreto.

Me engañabas con mi amiga,

y la verdad, ya lo sabía;

la traición más bienvenida

en la historia de mi vida!

Me libraste de un matrimonio

sin amor, y hoy mi testimonio

ayudara a muchos más

sanar y sentir paz.

*****************************

I loved you at one time

but you never knew how

to love me or appreciate me,

to protect me or adore me.

You said that you loved me

but your eyes were cruel

the day that you decided

to forget what you promised.

You vowed to be faithful

with your honeyed words

but you only said

what was convenient for you.

You were completely selfish,

a coward and a pessimist.

I lost all respect for you

and it was never a secret.

You cheated on me with my friend

and to be honest, I already knew.

The most welcome betrayal

in the history of my life!

You freed me from a loveless marriage

and now my testimony

will help many

to heal and find peace.

mutima wanga ima lila

pamene ni ma kuona

menso yanga alangana muli yako

vini wuza chani?

kamwa yako iyenda maningi

kamba pangono pangono, napapata

na nvela manje vamena wenzo niuza

ufuna mutima yanga—

niza kupasa chamene ufuna.

my heart beats

whenever I see you

my eyes gaze deeply into yours

what do they tell me?

your mouth moves quite fast

speak much slower, please

now I’ve heard what it is u were sayin’

you want my heart—

i’ll give you what you want.

Roos tydens dagbreek

’N wit gekleede dame haar delikate geheimenisse onthul,

* * *

A pillar of light strikes through the clouds,

A rose of white against a lonely mountain.

Golden rays part the heavens,

Stroking like fingers upon leaf and petal.

A white clad lady her mysteries revealed,

Does rose drink every ray from fiery sunrise.

Pesadillas

Pesadillas me despiertan

En un cuarto frio

Cubierto en sudor

Como si tuviera calor

Mi Corazon latiendo

De repente una sombra veo

Y asustado me despierto

En un cuarto frio

Cubierto en sudor

En mi carcel, en prison

Sentado en mi Cama

Una rabia, una bala

Una vida quitada

Y su sombra

Cada noche me despierta

De la esquina de mi carcel

Cada noche me vela

Awaken from Nightmares

In a cold room

Covered in sweat

As if I was hot

My heart beating rapidly

Suddenly a shadow I see

And scared I wake up

In a cold room

Covered in sweat

In my cell, in prison

Sitting on my bed

A rage, a bullet

A life taken

And to his shadow

Every night I awake

From the corner of my cell

Every night, it’s me he watches

bésame again, kiss me para siempre

I guess I am the one to blame after all

Te he besado tantas veces ya

That your taste has gotten impregnated on my mouth

My lips feel dull and dry

I don’t know how to tell them

That this isn’t temporary

I’m afraid that this is what it’ll feel like para siempre

What can I do to get rid of the feeling that something is missing?
