Two Dreams

In a dream

of years ago.

I'm a child again,

with blonde pigtails

down to my waist.

There's a familiar park

and a familiar school

where I swing

and run,

rushing to the slide.

Violet flowers

bloom against a gray landscape.

And I'm screaming the names

of those who've

forgotten my face.

But it is only you

who sees me

and smiles.

Though I am not sure

we've met before,

I recognize your prescence.

I know your ghost

and I call you brother.

You look like me,

even though you are smaller

and have a different smile.

Duck went whack and the walls wilt numb (They were ribbed?)

See, as you would, into the tree knot that allows the feral eye

To travel

In and up and through the massive oak that's hollow as some words...

..."Now I live here, not you, Priest with the fire hydrant for a hat!"

Oh, but when you were younger,

And lived under the oppressions of the faulty skies that forever rain their

Ignorant duck droppings from above...

"Here we are...here we be...here we is before this most anticipated, and loathed of second comings..."

Pierced by the sea urchins that sway...

We are here and gone

For another day...

Dipped in petrol and stinking of high (displaced)fashions...

See as you would...

Live as you did...

Dig this wet grave,

And the grace you'd ingest

Sneaks in like the night's needle

...Enters all your pores...

Here again!...

There again!...

Sit up in folded chair...

...When it unfolds you have so much to do...

The day eclipse night, and the night carves a place-mat.

What Am I Doing Down Here?

In the snow I lie down and open my mouth and out comes a balloon which floats up to the sky and I watch it until it disappears.

When the snow melts from underneath my body the grass starts to poke little holes though my coat like needles or bits of glass and those holes form a constellation that I do not recognize because I have never bothered to learn many of them.

To be a fly by night...

as my third compound eye's

split into a dozen

unanswerable why's

this body though jewelry

is poised to remind me

we're nothing but ugly

while I'm scaling this wall

whither shadows decline

as our cilia crawl

"well," but sprawled out on this

net of a coverlet

where strays have hit-n-missed

Seeking this fly by night...
