Where to start? I despise it. The "holiday season" is overcommercialized and artificial. The songs are played so often, I would prefer to tear my eardrums out. The good thing about it is the food. I also like to decorate.

The holiday season is a morally bankrupt, gluttonous example of American capitalism at its finest, demanding that we spend exorbitant amounts of money on people we don’t like and for items they don’t want and they don’t need. Bah, humbug!

I hate Christmas because it´s outdated religious twaddle and it is all about money and over indulgence. Christmas is not a happy time of year for many people, it is a time of loneliness worry, stress, pressure and more pressure!

I smile as I walk down the street, enthralled by the brilliant lighting, the huge Christmas trees, and the beautiful menorahs in others' homes. I enter my own home, devoid of decorations. It's not my season to celebrate. Merry Chanukah.

Dreamy. Comforted by the soft buzz of the lights that adorn my Christmas tree. Warmed with the nourishing effects of family time, nighttime banter, and hot cocoa. Grateful of the loquacious neighbors and stuffed animals that make my community. Joyful.

The holidays are just like any other days, but we give them something more. We give them kindness, thought, and time. In return we find multiplied joy, strengthened friendship, and boundless love. Imagine if we gave every day something more.

Holidays mean you have to return home because the dorms are closed. Home, where you left half a year ago. First you dread it, because you've changed so much - but you return and you haven't changed. Not to them.
