Indifference

keen blade poised

bosom heaving

cut the bastard out!

keen blade poised

children screaming

cut the bastard out!

keen blade poised

nightmare living

cut the bastard out!

keen blade poised

hand is shaking

cut the bastard out!

poison is as poison does

livid in my veins

he’s pulled me into living hell

indifference I must claim

INDIFFERENCE please!

bosom heaving

(put the knife away)

INDIFFERENCE please!

children screaming

(put the knife away)

INDIFFERENCE please!

nightmare living

(put the knife away)

INDIFFERENCE please!

hand is shaking

(put the knife away)

no more toxin

no more hate

no more love

I’ll make my fate!

strong and poised

breath is steady

I will walk away

feels

there's something

just on the edge

of my soul

it's twisting

it's moving

it really feels odd

it seems to be

broken

and damaged

somehow

so toxic

so harmful

demolishing

me through

I can sense it

it's bending,

it's growing,

and changing its corse

I think it's moving

it's scratching

it's tracing its path

from the souls

of my feet

to the tip

of my heart

...........

yours truly,

pain
