star crossed .....

the sky burst with fireworks of colors, an emotionless pink, pathetic purples, a berry blue. the poles lonely and distant like two strangers estranged friends muttered hellos and buttered up smiles wrapped on a news year night. a moonless sky a pulled apart by the unspoken silent, fingertips that walked across the word lover. something bloomed in the symphonic harp love story that took the hands of fools and made love to the empty stars and chapped wintry lips.

she laid in her bed

he laid in his bed

he groped the side of bed to find a trace of her imprint

she fiddled with the edge of her sheet, grabbing hold at the lining of his fragile touched that he left that on her

he called her

she answer

he spoke silence

she hummed to the quiet

he felt her cheek on his

when she breathed into the phone

she felt his touch when he touched

her with his words

he needed her

she needed him

she turned and faced the window

and watched the fireworks

he turned and faced

the window

and saw her undressing

in her window

through a memory

he bite his tongue every time

he needed to tell her

he felt like a lion in a cage,

When he wanted to say something.

but he couldn't get the memory of how she felt in his heart

he built his walls so high

she pushed his chest

and kissed his lips

and swallowed his heart

she chases after him

in every boy she loves

he tells himself she is a fairytale

his heart tells him

this is real

she tells him she doesn't love  him

he swallows the , I love you

and tucks the corners of the bed sheet tight in the bed frame

to prevent himself from getting out of bed and going to her

its as if the snow pushes into my face

we were never meant  to be lovers

we were meant to be soul mates

Hypothermia

Snows slowly and silently saunters

Onto a face frozen in frightful fear

Collapsed in the cold chasm - cruel crisis

Karma kisses kindly. Killed. Kaput

Escape now embargoed. Eaten by Empress Earth

Death draws. Down in defeat.

Adieu

This is it.

This is how I die.

The snow freezes over my face

I'm lying here in the snow.

You wouldn't  see me until you stepped on me

Frost bite doesn't feel so bad

But that's probably because I can't feel at all

It melts at the touch of my warm skin

Then a breeze

It freezes over again.

I can't see

Can't feel

Can barely hear

I don't know how long I've been here

Waiting

Nobody has come near

All fear has washed away

Whatever comes:

Is

"Adieu, adieu, adieu. Remember me"

A Question of Honor

The snow pushes into the cold of my face from the chasm below. My eyebrows are heavy with icicles. I cannot think I do not know how long I have been standing up here. Below me, bone chilling winds whip around climbing the sides of the steep canyon, but I wait. If it weren't for these gloves my hands would have froze around the wooden stock. I need less than a minute that is all. I know he will pass this way even in this god forsaken weather. Once it is done, I will leave here and never return. That is the way it must be.

Snowstorm Trouble

We are going to die out here

Not a single building in sight

Nowhere to take cover

We huddle together

To keep arm

The storm is getting stronger

The snow pushes the cold onto to our faces

As we see a truck

A rescue truck

Someone heard us

We walk slowly

And he collapses into the snowbank

Now turned red

Bang

My hands are numb against the cold, hard ground. I breathe in the cold air, trying to catch my breath. Behind me, I hear footsteps. They're coming. I have to run.

I pull myself out of the snow, my hands are still cold and numb as I swrp them into my non-winter jacket, jumping over the rock I tripped on before taking off again. I run and tun as fast as I can out of there, trying to stay as far away from that person following me. But it was too muhc.

They catch up to m. I can hear their breathing as I try to push more energy into my legs, praying for them to run faster. But they have given up. I fall into the snow, my hands suddenly leaping from their pockets and catching me as I fall face first into white powder.

I hear the person stop. They are near me, so close that I can hear them pull something out of their coat. I really want to scream at them to leave me alone. But they won't.

They circle aorund me. I try to stay as still as possible, just maybe so they would think I am already dead. But then I hear it. A gun click.

"You are one bad little girl," A man whispers on top of me. I want to cry. I want to scream for help. It wasn't like anyone would hear me in the middle of this forest though. Only him.

"Please, leave me alone. I have nothing," I cry to him, hoping he will walk away.

Instead of laughs. "I dont't hink so."

I look up at him, the tears finally showing from underneaath my skin. He doesn't look scared. He just looks mad. Mad at me. Mad at everyone. His gun glints in his hand, as though it was made to sit there.

"Please. I whisper.

I slowly set my head down, and wait. I know this was where it would be the end for me. I can say my life goodby.

There is only one gunsho-

Termination

The snow pushes into the cold

Of my face

The icy sting of a windy

Truth in life

Love nips and chaps my cheeks

Before shattering

Broken icicles dying without

Thaw

Snowflakes are unique

Dazzling fingerprints raining from above

Each crystalline beauty different from another

I have often marveled

At the gentle flakes as they fall

Landing gently on my eagerly awaiting tongue

But snowflakes make snow

A weapon if fun dares venture too far

If you wander into cold, death will be snow against your face.
