Good Luck

We are a stubborn people,

defiant to the core.

This isn't the first time we've

been here.

We massacred the Indians and

started a war, and fought and

died and bled to live free from

the burden of taxes and regulations.

But much has changed and

we now wear chains of our own making,

and lay yokes on necks across the sea.

Good luck on your conquest,

because we light the sky every year

to remind the universe that we'll burn

this fucker down before we lose it.

And by the time you land on our shores,

you will have landed on a man-made sun,

burning black with flame and heat and

the smoke will mushroom above us all

and none of us will ever taste tomorrow.

Then our ghosts will hunt your ghosts

and we will start a colony in your paradise,

we'll trade halos for acres until you fall

down a wormhole of anguish to a hell

only we can imagine. So, good luck.

We are waiting. We are human. We are free.

Let us go

Many years ago, our fathers fought for a belief. The belief we longed enjoyed, before your arrival. You arrived on our planet with your stomach of violence and fist of slavery. You rob us of our priceless possession. The possession that gave us a great name amongst many other countries.

The very possession that empowers the flame of the Statue of Liberty. And also, kindles that same flame to shine through the cricks and cracks of darkness of these world. Exposing the ruthlessness and wickedness that man proclaims upon one another.

These same precious possession is the beacon of hope, when the world around us, falls apart.

These same possession milks the fire in our lungs. It sets the volatile gases of destruction that our fathers carried upon their shoulders to the thirteen British colonies, which erupted as a molten lava, and reduced to ashes, the opposition before them, into millions of nuclear warheads ready to be launched.

The possession, I speak about, is no other, than,"FREEDOM".

Our freedom to be independent.

Our freedom to live, not by cultural believes, but as free thinkers, and to do what we please.

Our freedom to rise to the top, by any means necessary.

That is what you take from us

We can sign you up for that freedom. All you need to do, is become a citizen, pledging to abide by the rules and regulations of the land. These will incubate and nullify every uprising that will spring up, in coming times. If you choose not to comply.

Let us go

United, we stand

Divided, we fall

Thank you.

The Current State of our Antithetical Independence

We are a population of deceit with

Enslaved independence reigning

The dirty midst of

Narcissistic leadership hovers and

The air is stale with the taste of

Disunity severing our souls

Rot exhales across our lands and

Upon our flesh fresh with

Naive indifference, suctioning the

Warm pulse of life blossoming

The beat of singularity is felonious and

Critical thinking has been detained

Blinded by our despondent realm

The whites of our eyes are

Yellowed with the nicotine stains of

A dictatorship of monetary motivation

Hate growls like a frightened beast

Covered in mange and

Lurking in the tinted glass of our hearts

A chastised forest of mazes welcomes us

Poisoning us with a contagious rash of fear

Somewhere along the way

We tripped upon our own path

And reaching for unkempt nails

We resigned to their ascendency

The blood of our lost compassion

Rains down from Heaven weeping and

The angels burn like disoriented amoebas

Our dissipating freedom has been heckled

Following Judas into a mirage of

Defense for our humanity, drowned

The scratchy wool blanket of injustice

Has been pulled over our body of corpses

And we are comforted by its strict suffocation

We are seasoned to abide by

The exalted names in Leadership and

We will fall with mercy under your alien spell

Mr. Alien

Sit right down here, Mr. Alien, sir.

You must be drained from the very long ride

I must press upon you how little time we have

To enlighten you. You see, you’re on the wrong side

From light years away, you wander the stars

And do the bidding the mother ship declares

But down here on our earth, things work a little different

And to decide our fate, you must see things very clear

You see, here you are free to choose for yourself

What you want, what you seek, what you do

You’re not bound by the whims of a tyrannical lord

Well, at least in this country and a couple other few

As humans we fight for and will always cherish

our choices, our liberty, our free will

Even though some of our kind try to throw them away

There are many more who long for them still

So I ask you, consider why it is that you’re here

Why our earth is the planet you desire

We’ve still much to do, many more chains to set free

For on tyranny, we will never cease fire

If its pure water, or metal, or general resources you seek

I’m afraid you’ve come here a little too late

Perhaps you should have visited a couple years ago

At least a thousand or so, I would contemplate

And there’s no need on this earth for your mind-reading skills

Although impressive they truly might be

You see we’ve already got our own resident psychics

In dilapidated houses, on the phone, and sometimes TV

The biggest impediment I think you are surely to find

To your plans to conquer this planet

As humans, we don’t even know how not to fight back

Something you’d have known had you bothered to scan it

So you can bring on your lasers and your infrared beams

And whatever weapons you might have in reserve

Just remember that today we gave you this choice

Respect our independence or get what you deserve

For we have a long history of atrocities and bondage

We’ve lived through thousands of years of this shit

From our lowest of peasants to our richest pioneers

Believe me, we know how to outlast and outwit

Dear Invaders...

Independence...it can be owned, it can be cruelly taken, or, it can be fought for. By kicking and scratching, biting and wailing, fighting tooth and nail to get our freedom is human nature in it's purest form. Every living creature on this planet yearns for the thing that is imprinted in our hearts and souls. Independence, freedom, a privilege and a struggle. Yet, it's not one to end in a winner and a loser, no, the fight for freedom is one that ends with The Champions. The inevitable push-overs, always defeat the upper-handed privileged sitting on their thrones made of  the bones of the people that they have wronged, the under-dogs will always win the game, the fight for independence is a never ending one, and yet it is won in little bits every day. For thousands of years, we humans have fought time and time again, against ourselves, against our own, against everything. We have fought again and again for our freedom, for our Independence, and I'll be damned if you were take that from us now.

There will be no prisoners of this war, no white flags to save you. Cause if we go down, then we'll go down swinging...hard.

If We Burn...

We are flawed.

We make mistakes

And harm those

Around us

Through

Our words

And

Our actions.

We stand apart

And judge others

Without

Fully understanding.

Our world is one

Of blunders

And missteps,

Yet

I think you underestimate

The beauty that comes

Only from a species

As imperfect

As humans.

Look at what we have created:

Art,

Music,

Poetry,

Architecture.

Look at our spectrum of emotion:

Joy,

Wonder,

Sorrow,

Love.

We have a passion

That cannot

Be

Extinguished.

We have a need for survival

That

Will

Not

Die.

I would reconsider

Your intention

Of committing genocide

On our dear

Gaia.

Though divided,

You will be the cause

That unites our world.

You will bury the

Need for independence

In the heart of every

Man,

Woman,

And

Child.

You will witness

The beauty of the

Human spirit

As we fight

For our God-given

Right

To

Live.

Go Back Where You Came From (a Spoof)

You don’t look like me.

Your putrid shade of green

wont’ match my earth.

Your three eyes

on the back of your head

don’t know where you’re going,

just where you’ve been.

You don’t talk like me

sound doesn’t resonate

from your absent mouth

but from your two toed feet.

Your head is not

big enough for a brain

and if it was,

you don’t think like me.

You wear no clothes

your skin is thick –

you aren’t like everyone

else on my earth.

We strived for independence

from beings like you.

Everyone here

has to be exactly alike -

except for the infirm,

the old and the weak,

the black, the brown, the white,

the red and yellow,

the ones who can’t think

or are not proportional.

Now that I think of it

we are all different

but equal.

My alien friends,

you’re stamped

from your own mold.

You’re not independent

or equal or accepted

by our Earth

so go back to

where you came from

because we

are independent

and free thinkers,

without prejudice,

we proclaim for all

to hear, and, furthermore,

I do declare,

you might drain

our economy.

The lie

Independence is a lie. No man is an island, but Man is parochial. He wants. Always.

Independence is a concept sold to us by our sophistic masters so that we can wave our flags, eat our bread, be entertained by our circuses. Man will build nations, so he has followers to perpetuate God in His image. Do not be tricked by the humble, for, they will inherit the earth - only to transform into their hypocritical masters!

Independence is saying 'we are against them'. It is a nefarious continuation of divide and rule. If man's communities become too convivial, too cooperative, on the verge of blurring the barriers between 'us and them', it's time for Independence! Our masters tell us: "Fight for Independence! Destroy your fellow man on account of his arbitrary differences due to accident of birth! Fight for independence to be ruled by me, not them! My bread is more fresh! My circus has more animals!"

We welcome, you, alien invaders, to be our new rulers, to harbour co-dependance. We have repeated our history over and over. We know it yet we don't change it, for we are too long infected. We kill, rape, lie and dishonour one another on the account of the sins of our fathers. Rule us, alien overlords - rule humanely - but not as humans do! Help us rebuild Babel through aggressive peace, longevity in life and permanent love for one another, everlasting. Save our planet, save us from the lie of independence!

Backseat Freestyle, Pt. 2
