Tripping the Waitress = Fun

My twisted thoughts are probably unique;

Country music = I wanna punch babies

Chihuahuas = yappy footballs needing a kick

I daydream of elbow-dropping elderly ladies

People on ladders = asking to get toppled

Bicycle riders = on open invitation

I giggle gleefully when people trip & fall

Merry mayhem rules my warped imagination

The One Thing I Truly Own

My fingerprints tell my own story

Like a trademark on life's journey.

This Kind of Girl

I wear boots with sundresses, and my hair is rarely brushed. My mouth is always quiet, but my mind can not be hushed. I wear my rosary around my neck, and my skin is always pale. Everyone thinks I'm Catholic, but the Catholics think I'm going to hell.

In Answer

Must I prove my right to exist

by fulfilling your definition of "different"

Something outrageous and difficult

without a subtle, shining grace.

No two people live the same life,

No two souls travel the same path.

In being human I am unique,

just like everyone else.

one

i am really not that different

but i am a little more grown up than those of my age

because i remember to cry after i make my foolish decisions,

not before when nothing really matters.

This is Why

You are you and only you

I hope you see that as true

You are like a star in this huge universe

You play a part and pull a hearse

You all have your own originality

That's what gives you all your individuality

Me-ness

I'm a worker, dancer, student, and dreamer.

I'm a boss, singer, teacher, and doer.

I'm the sister who baked you the BB-8 cake, the daughter making your omelette every morning.

I'm less expressive than I'd like, more creative than I realize.

I'm me.

That's all I'll ever be.

That's enough.

Extra Ordinary

I'm not extraordinary

I'm extra ordinary

But I suppose that I'm unique in my own right

Although why or how I'm unique

I'm still trying to figure that out

Distinct Scraps

those stamped softly

with flowing ink

of the younger old

and older young

scrappy edges

sturdy

behind boundaries

those ready to wrap

in yards of yarn

any other shredded bit

waiting to trade dots, feathers,

gently shifted letters,

within the boundaries that weather

add to social papercraft

Foresight

We are all unique in our own way child,

Some are just more unique and wild.

I may frighten you

But sadly it's true

I have the gift of foresight,

It is my birthright.

This path we call life,

Learn all you can

This life is but a span.
