Listen up punk, with ya’ll 18 year ol’ arse...

There will be followers.

There will be sheep.

There will be born-believers.

There will be the meek.

But you...

You will follow no man.

You will give your hand.

You will love many.

You will hate none.

You will walk away.

Yet...

You will never run.

There’s so much to tell you...

Take the leap sooner.

You’ll fly longer.

Enjoy the view from way up high,

Don’t fear the fall.

You have inside you infinite possibilities

And everything you will ever be,

Growing for eternity.

Perfect and still improving.

 Instead of being boxed,

 You now own the sky.

Everyone Is A Weirdo.

It's hard. I know. It gets harder then easier then so much worse. One day, however, someone, somewhere, will like the weird things you say. They'll even find it charming. Don't believe me? I know, I can't believe it either. What's even stranger, comic books become cool.

Just Don’t.

Don't look for people

Who don't look out for you.

Don't wait for people

Who don't wait on you.

Don't eat with jerks

Just to feel like you belong.

Fear not

Be bold in all you do.

Trust True Love to find you.

Don’t be afraid to chase your dreams.

Follow your heart

No matter how hard it seems.

Continue to explore,

if even on your own.

You’re strong enough to be alone.

Ninja or spy?

Figure out how,

Not why.

flawed perfection

You are nothing short of flawed perfection.

The fat on your hips or the laugh of your lips

Say nothing but beautiful over and over.

You will forget this, but those that matter most to you

Will remind you over and over again

Because you are worth it.

Words to Myself at 18

You're worthy

You're enough

You're more than a pretty face

You're more than a hole to fuck

Find your strength

Find your talent

Hold them tightly

Guard jealously.

Don't be dependent on a man

To feed your belly

Or self esteem

Unless you like being hungry

Girl, take care of yourself.

Leap

You've burned all your bridges and this time around, you should learn how to swim.

Lost eloquence

Angry early me:

Till the earth more prudently

grow future seeds.

Blasted old guy you:

Save your earthy metaphors

for someone in need.
