Lessons from Mother Earth

I don't have to meditate just because you're meditating. I am me, and I am the earth. I am a child in the grand scheme- open your eyes to the wonder and beauty of the universe. Rainbows shine everywhere if you know how to look. Spiders spin their webs to catch the bad, nature's day dreamcatchers.

Sunlight is warmth and goodness, and there will always be sun even if it seems like darkness surrounds you. Be you, give love, be love- it will bring you the most love. Stare up onto the sky and realize you are a small but crucial player in the world being as it is this instant.

Accept that some things are inevitable, and that some things can change with courage and strength. Walk barefoot in the grass, and don't be afraid of a little (or a lot) of dirt. The trees are alive and watching over you, be kind to them. The sun is a mandala of brightness, the trees reach for growth and nurture through fractals and geometric magic. Be still and let go of thoughts; close your eyes to look inward but don't forget to open them and take in the beauty that surrounds you.

Smile at other people, but don't blame them for being uncomfortable. Everyone has their own personal worries. Sometimes the best moments are when you're doing nothing at all. Savor the taste of your food and be mindful of what you feed your body.

Take risks and do things that scare you, but it is okay to take your time. Do you when you are ready, not when someone else tells you you're ready. Appreciate the minute details of the world around you in every moment and realize you are that beautiful world. You are the shimmering dew drop on a blade of grass and you are the duck sleeping in the pond. You are even the harsh sound of the trees getting cut down.

Accept it all. Love it all. You are all and all is you.

every breath you take is thanks to the existence of something else

independence is valuable because it's limited

it's okay to change

the world will help you grow

but it will also destroy you the first chance it gets

some need the sun and some need the shade

I am a species who needs partial sunlight

and that's not greedy

your existence does not need to be justified

As The Wind Blows

Plants of all types have taught me that when the wind blows you must bow before it or be swept away.

Of course I refer to the wind of change. When it gusts I allow it to wash over me and flow within its current. To remain rooted to the past and its ways is to lose yourself in a sea of muddled nostalgia.

Flora & fauna

Plants have taught me not to struggle too much because everything you need is right around you.

To be thankful to other creatures for helping give me a chance to live, to breathe, to eat.

I admire their fragility, but how strong they can be. They certainly outnumber humans.

They taught me that everyone enjoys being sang to whether it's babies, the elderly, animals or plants.

They teach me on a constant basis to be patient because a mighty oak does not grow in one day.

Most of all they taught me to appreciate life in the now because getting another day to enjoy is never promised.

Soma.

What you resist, resists you.

Through surrender comes the ultimate power.

Death is necessary for life.

There's nothing to improve,

You are always becoming who you are.

Remember you're a star,

Impersonating a human.

Life is just a ride.

You're reborn in every moment,

Each exhale is a mini-death,

You're always creating ripple effect of vibration,

With each thought,

Each word,

Each action.

Be harmonic.

Love is that which enables choice.

All choice is based on love or fear.

Nothing is inherently good or evil but thinking makes it so.

If you want to go fast go alone,

If you want to go far, go together.

The universe will always give you the moment you need, 100% of the time.

Every moment is synchronous.

The only person judging you

Is yourself.

The voice you speak to yourself is the voice you speak to the universe,

Because you are the universe,

Pretending that you're not.

The strongest structures are the most flexible.

Embrace novelty.

Transcend opposites.

You cannot nurture others unless you can nurture yourself.

Breathing is the great renewer.

Even the most crooked paths lead toward the light.

Plants

Plant have taught me that from one simple thing, great things can happen or vice versa as well as that things grow and mature; never staying the same.
