Entering the Pacific Ocean at night

A deep, unclear feeling of Knowing

its vastness

Realizing

Whether I stay or leave

That It will always crawl

toward the city

And inevitably curl into itself

I would keep the memory of the first day, walking by the river with you. I would remember the kudzu-like ivy growing up the embankment as we talked and learned more about each other. I would remember how much I was intrigued with you and how much I felt like I was supposed to be there, right at that moment, with you. I would remember feeling like I was about to begin an adventure.
