After, because I’d like to make sure that the title has a meaning or something to do with the story even if it makes no sense or readers don’t understand what the title resembles. The title of a story shouldn't decide what the writer puts down in ink.

Swings And Roundabouts

Whether I have the title of a piece before I write it depends entirely on the spark of inspiration that hits me, but it doesn't often happen that way.

Most times I'm just sitting writing aimlessly when a flow begins, and it can come from out of nowhere. Once I have the bit between my teeth I'm away and it's not until I finish that the title slips into place.

Occasionally I'll come up with a great title, but no content.

It's a sort of swings and roundabouts thing, if you'll pardon the expression.

Swings and roundabouts - wow that sounds like it could be a great title for.......something.

What’s In a Word

I don't have a specific process, to be quite honest. Some of my pieces have titles long before I finish and some are left unnamed still today. I can tell you I have named many works of literature after its conception and personality form on the paper. It's almost like when you carry a child in your womb opposed to when you see her and hold her in your arms. I have two girls and both of them were named after their birth, the following day to be exact.

I think it's really just like that...

The meaningful ones I name later bc once I can appreciate their full beauty and existence, their purpose in my life, then it happens. The magical moment that I assign the aesthetic epithet that will accurately reflect that which lies before the readers eyes.

Before

I usually write the title before because I already know what i'm going to write. I draft it in my head and once I begin to write it i edit as I go.

Definitely after. Most of the time I don't even know what I'm going to write about when I start. I usually just have a line or thought and it grows underneath my fingertips. When I'm finished, I know what it is.

Title

I think of an interesting topic/title then the content just comes out. My poems are more of my observations and opinions written in i-try-as-much-as-i-can beautiful words.

It depends..

If I write the story before the title, most likely that story is going nowhere. But, if I write the title before. That story may fly a little farther.

After the content, I write the title.

Usually, sometimes always, it never matches the piece itself.

I have terrible choice and grammar,

Sometimes I even forget to place a title!

Oh, no.

Before.

So I may pull all my creativity out of the title,

and to stay on subjected,

also to not forget what I was writing about if I have to go away with out finishing it.
