Acrostical

M uses come and Muses go,

A lways as the rivers flow,

G lowing girl so far away,

G reets me as I start my day,

I nspiration flows from her,

E ven as I wash my hair,

G iven that my days are nights,

R iddled with unsightly sights,

E ven through the midnight hour,

E ven when my shifts turn sour,

N ever is she far away,

E ndless muse she makes my day.

Brother Rex

Between what is right for you and wrong for the family,

Running around, looking for what you need,

Overall, was it a good decision?

The fight may never end,

Here to protect one you love,

Even if it costs everything to you.

Racer is your name and profession,

Racing is in your blood,

Everyone knows it,

Xerocopy, your brother, but not just in black and white.

I sn't it enough that you have taken far too much?

N ow you're smiling at me from the dock

N ever will I tell them you were there, despite your touch

O ne of us still has the truth in stock

C harge me with your blindness if you feel that way inclined

E ven though I know that you can see

N othing beats the feeling of those pockets being lined

T hat's why I shall still plead not guilty...

Dream Job

Tawdry shoulders, sultry stare

Opulent horns wail despair

Resonant chords married too long

Crescendo in a display of brawn

Hypnotic tones lure us in

Simple lyrics reek of sin

Intimate wink

Nudge of the hip

Graze of teeth across bottom lip

Ecstatic applause, whistles galore

Return next week, boys, if you want to hear more.

Acrostic Poem

Left behind

Once again.

Not just forgotten

Lost beyond help.

Ignored and ignoring,

Never saved, but left in the

Endless misery of

Solitude and

Silence

It is

never in your

lasting interests to think

of yourself as a biological

volume. Your true measure

exceeds that of length, depth,

width, duration, or altitude.

Instead, picture the dancing needles during earth's

tremors, the imperceptible pendulum swing of a

hummingbird's wings, the accents of piccolo

lilting atop happy tunes, unsung, accenting.

It is

forever your legacy to

exist invisibly before, after, and between any drawn lines.
