Out there sunlight shines
On my back Cheap Trick mellows
Sunday whiskey sleep
a hurricane in
the waves, beating away at
my spine, relentless
placid and pale as
clouds drifting through the gentle
frigid winter air
I flow as water,
Moods change like a river bends,
Still waters run deep.
If words could describe
Such a void as this ocean,
I think we would drown.
Arms stretched out as limbs;
People carve and cut and climb.
I have to stay strong.
Near the small clear pond
Buzzing dragonflies zip past
With barely a glance.
Even in winter,
There are warm days to be found,
Full of light and life.
Little tiny fishes.
Swimming fast, alone in a lake.
When will they be found.
Calm before the storm,
late night Madden 'fore I sleep...
working weekends much?
