I’m Not Sure.

Taking a different route home, I felt enlightened with possibilities.

I walked into the wood and my life changed.

It's funny how the simplest change in routine can have dire consequences.

For me, I stepped into a world I knew nothing about and came back taken. For the first time I realized the world was endless and beyond any imagination conceived.

You may be wondering what I'm referring to. You may be curious to learn what I learned that day in the wood. The answer isn't simple and it may surprise you.

Too bad I can't tell you.

Your Mother Named You

Taking a different route, I felt his presence before I saw him. Almost seven feet tall, an imposing figure of a man. His dress was reminiscent of a 1920s mob boss. Until he opened his mouth to speak. His business card read La Vander. I walked away with the impression that it should have been lavender.

Taking a different route home, I felt electrified. It didn't take as much as I thought it would've. Though I suppose expectations can be like that. Misleading.

It was my own fault really, I spent more time looking forward to the event than actually preparing for it. I should have done my research, it would've saved me quite a bit of trouble.

I can't worry about that right now, I'm too amped up and it needs to be taken care of.

It's not like me to smoke. Let alone light a cigarette in my own car, but coming back to the house with this much adrenaline would be suspicious.

Take a drag. Act normal.

Deep breath. Act normal.

Roll the window down. Act normal.

She won't be a problem anymore.
