night travelers

i'll see you at the end of the river-

we traverse in our tiny boats

bobbing on a sea of moonlights and stars

nearly drowning in the foam of waterfalls

and getting slashed by rocks-

but we were immune,

because when the current slows-

there is light

and the end is not the end

but the beginning

of a whole new world.

Styx

a stygian romance,

dark as the currents

that sweep us away

from the doors of life.

it wasn't allowed,

the river goddess

and a mortal.

it was forbidden.

but love has

no boundaries,

like a river pouring

into the ocean.

on his deathbed,

she payed for

his hospice care.

as the river between

life and death

she had her share of

currency dumped

into her shores

out of desperation,

hoping to buy a spot

in elysium.

that was enough to

fund his dying days

and keep him

floating on the

river of bliss.

"my love,"

styx said,

her eyes shining

like dark pools.

"i'll see you

at the end

of the river."

Aching

Biting the skin off my lips,

revealing the tender flesh beneath.

Sick with anticipation.

I can’t wait to move forward.

I need to be patient and sit in the moment.

Stop thinking so much.

Feel the present.

Be the present.

I want to create and dance

in fields of my own fertile blood.

My youth,

twinkling around,

scantilly clad,

in my own love.

That feeling still sits, sick

with anticipation

of being friends.

Please hurry.

Get better.

The flavours of our youth

are slipping away.

There isn’t enough time

to waste this time.

We need more.

Or to embrace what we have,

because you may not be dead now

but one day we will be.

I shall not waste this life,

this love.

I'll see you on the otherside,

When we're both

older

and

wiser.

Down by the end of the river,

together we will sit,

and combine.

If I see you at the end of the river, don't lose me again in the ocean.

Hail Storms with Bloody Hands

The worlds a little too tough on you, with that I can agree. Constantly taking your breath away every time you try to breathe. But you still search for happiness never giving up it seems, even when so many have diagnosed you, telling you what you’re supposed to be.

As humans we strive in chaos, as we are constantly swept up by our own storms. Trying to find our way through the wreckage, our minds often feel like hail storms. Yet with all this you keep pushing forward despite your odds, so I'll see you at the end of the River darling. Keep pushing on.
