peace

i peeled off my skin

dipped them in the river

that had the color

of your name

unraveled my bones

and carved the ridges

of your face

into the bony white

identity

the ink may be smeared,

apologies.

but to whoever it may concern:

please let me in.

i've been hiding

too long

keeping my

heart

black

wrapped

in thorns

hidden away

under vibrant

lace curtains

i'm so

fake

i need to

be with

others like

me

shed these

layers

of fake smiles

and platisicine words

please

let me be

myself

Fusion

Hate came storming in the door

squalling, yelling, howling

ready to drill into damaged heart.

Hate had watched Love through cracks

distorting exposed image in his mind,

contaminating her senses, stole her soul

squalling, yelling, howling

Foggy essence of imperfect Hate

damned to Hell where lonely lies,

larger and larger, the cyclone grows,

dehydrated thoughts, waning passion

squalling, yelling, howling

Love is the conqueror and purifies pith

seizes Hate’s emotions whirling in space.

Love flows like lava into crevices of Hate,

warming the cold and sadness therein,

melts the ice from Hate’s furrowed brow

soothing, softening, calming

Meeting in middle, Love and Hate become

ONE

escaping Hell to bask in Heaven’s glow

“Are There Dragons in Hell?”

“Hey, Satan?”

“Yes?”

“Are there dragons in Hell?”

“Yes.”

“Are there pirates in Hell?”

“Yes.”

“Is Napoleon in Hell?”

“Um, I don’t-“

“Is Peter the Great in Hell?”

“Um, I don’t-“

“Ooh, what about Al Capone, or ‘Machine-Gun Kelly?’”

“Yes. No. I don’t know!”

“Is it warm in Hell, because I cannot stand the cold for too long?”

“What, yes, very warm.”

“Good.”

“What?”

“Is the lava in hell like in ‘Minecraft,’ where you can pick it up with a bucket and move it somewhere else?”

“Wa- I don’t know? Why do you care?”

“Are there skeletons in Hell?”

“Yes.”

“Can we cook food over the fires of Hell, or do we have to pay for that?”

“Wa- What? What, no, you can’t-“

“Will I have to read works by James Joyce in Hell, because I really don’t like his writing that much.”

“If you don’t like it, you have to do it.”

“So what if I don’t like to drink tea, then can I have as much tea as I want?”

“Um, technically, if you genuinely-“

“Or ice cream, if I don’t like ice cream, could I have as much as I want?”

“I don’t think you under-“

“Are there dragons in hell?”

“You already asked that.”

“Well, are there?”

“Yes.”

“Sweet, I’m in!”

empire

open your fiery gates, fools

allow my creeping corruption to caress you deep inside

and bear yourselves to the darkness that resides within

until your light seeps out between my clenched fingers

whispering like coals tossed about in the tide

open your fiery gates, fools

so i may sit upon my rightful throne

with naught but a wicked smile splitting my face and a

lopsided crown of broken bones perched upon my skull

at long last, fools, your ruler has come home

The Hell Daddy Raised

The things I’ve done

I’ve done for fun

for life, for love, for kicks.

So to the prudes

who found me rude

and those I’ve given fits.

I’ll say again

to paraphrase Twain,

“God made only one of me,

But if heaven is banned

to this kind of man,

then hell should have good company.”

The Crimson Rider

I have a vision where I--

Eyes scarlet, hair abalze--

Roam the earth extracting souls

For the glory of the allmighty--

My new and forever Lord!

Do you hear me? May I serve thee?

Dear Lucifer

Dear Lucifer,

You were once a fallen angel.

Can you not understand

Why a woman would feel feeble

At the touch of your tender hands?

Allo

Allo~ C’est moi-

I hope that you’ll let me in

I am here for the one

Who pulled my heart

Right out of my chest

& left me lying alone

On the floor—

How did I get here?

That’s easy..you see...

I just followed the red,

Blood stained footprints

They led me right to these gates.
