Think about the most annoying, frustrating, and/or chaotic person you know. Maybe it’s your deadbeat friend, maybe it’s your messy coworker, maybe it’s your annoying brother who always asks you for money. Write a prose piece about them or from their point of view.

Who’s THAT relative who you want to ban from Thanksgiving? You know, the one who just loves to stir up controversy. Make one up if your family’s so dang perfect. Challenge ends a little after the holiday to give you time to nurse your hangover.

What’s REALLY bothering you right now? What (or who) makes you want to scream into a pillow, punch a wall, or run away from all your responsibilities to raise alpacas in the countryside? Let it all out, friends.

Set a short story in a dystopian world. Things can be overtly wrong or just subtly off. Make us feel that tension in the scene(s) and character(s). I recommend channeling Kurt Vonnegut for inspiration on exploring these environments.
