Over the past months I have been working on a project inspired by the album Overflow by Jurassic Sharks, specifically the song Arrowhead. I have been reflecting over the word Overflow for my project thinking of what it looks like and what it may be. I have my own understanding of it but I am curious to see how others perceive it. Make any piece you'd like.
How do you write it? An Ottava Rima is a poem composed of eight lines that have an ababababcc rhyme scheme for the first stanza, and dededeff for the next, the rhyme scheme keeps going down the alphabet until you can no longer rhyme. Each line should contain either 10 or 11 syllables. You can make a single octive (eight line stanza) or multiple, it's up to you. In these eight lines attempt to make a coherent story, it can be fiction or non-fiction. If you do not understand how to create it from my description try checking out the rules on this website: http://www.shadowpoetry.com/resources/wip/ottavarima.html I will post an example for reference.
Beauty In The Dark
I want to see what people can create in a period of time that I have found to be distressing. Write any piece from any genre that encapsulates the beauty humanity is capable of in the darkest moments.

Beauty in the Dark
"The Federal Writers' Project was created in 1935 as part of the United States Work Progress Administration to provide employment for historians, teachers, writers, librarians, and other white-collar workers"- https://www.loc.gov/rr/program/bib/newdeal/fwp.html This Federal Project undergone during the Great Depression inspired me to find beauty in a variety of pieces ranging from political commentary to short fictional pieces. I want to see what people can create in a period of time that I have found to be distressing. Write any piece from any genre that encapsulates the beauty humanity is capable of in the darkest moments.

Falling Today, Tomorrow and Forevermore...
We all fall down down from time to time, it seems like there's no way to get back up and that you will be stuck in this or that rut for an eternity. What makes anyone want to get back up? Why do we fall at all? Write about facing challenges and overcoming them. Any form will do just stick to the prompt...Good Luck! ( I put the challenge under poetry & free verse to get more challengers but any format is welcomed)

Pen and Paper
Look over something that occurred to you during the month, week, or just today. Take a dive into every aspect of the situation and try to uncover what true intentions were held or that you had, what was your mind hiding from you? Do not expect to find it immediately, but take time to find it, don't try to impress, try to discover what it is that revolved around that situation.
