Tan and Unkele

Tan Mackerel and Unkele the alligator where an unusual pair.

Tan, a young tween girl with a crippling addiction to soft drinks, intent on rebelling agenst her Mom’s new wife, Karen, after her Mother left her Mom for the younger assistant working for her.

Unkele, a snake like creature with one large red eye and two horns, claiming to be an alligator in search of his mother who is enslaved at ‘Alli-World’ with little to no physical evidence to prove he even has a mother or that she would be enslaved at Alli-world’

Naturally, they are best friends.

They met in the abandoned biker bar when Tan was freshly ten years old and the last member of The elderly biker gang that adopted Unkele died. She took him home, and her Mom let him live in the shed after Unkele asked politely.

Unkele Spent all his time with Tan. Not that he didn’t want to find more friends but when he wasn’t with Tan people seemed to be more repulsed by him. He’s often wondered if they are always repulsed by him but feel the need to be polite to ‘Tan’s friend’

Either way, he liked hanging out with Tan a lot. The only problem was school, so he was forced to spend most of the day in his shed alone. However when summer came, the world opened up, everyday he could slither on the sidewalk and feel the sun on his horned head.

This summer was different. Unkele’s had finally told Tan about his quest to find his mother en-slaved at Alli-world and Being his best friend she offered to help. So she got a summer a job at the local seven-10 and asked her Mom to help them get a travel pass that August.

He was relived to finally have help, to finally have a real possibility to free his mother, but a part of him regretted it. Now he would have to spend not only the school year, but the summer trapped-

There was a sudden crash, and Unkele looked up from his pile of brooding pillows to look out the window.

At first there was nothing, then a girl with dark blue hair and a bright yellow t-shirt came crashing through the fence that luckily was already broken.

Unkele watched as she fell on her knees and scrambled to get up, looking frantically around the back yard.

He felt his heart start to race, glancing quickly at his clock ‘1:45pm’ meaning Karen would be coming home for lunch soon and Tan’s mom would be waking up from her nap. If he did nothing, this girl would be caught and maybe turned over to whatever she was running from.

His tail hit the ground in a nervous tap. So what if she got caught? He doesn’t know what she’s done, maybe she deserves whatever she’s running from.

The sound of a car coming down the road shocked the girl, and made Unkele sweat. Karen was one of ‘those’ people whole programmed her car to sound like it have a gas engine even though gasoline hasn’t been publicly accessible longer then Karen’s even been alive.

The girl looked around in wild panic, the only way out of the yard was back the way she came, through the house, or over either non-broken fences in either side. Suddenly she noticed the shed, and Unkele quietly shrieked as he realized his time was running out.

Lock the door, or let her in.

She must have heard the car door slam shut cause she looked at the house in horror and started to run towards the shed, cutting Unkele’s decision time dangerous short.

His tail touched the door knob to lock it, when he realized what her shirt said, ‘CSSSC’ or as he knew it stood for, ‘Chicken Soup for the Skinny Soul Camp’ The camp Tan had been trying to end since she figured out what sabotage was.

He drew back his tail, and let the girl barge into his room.

Strangling

My bones will brake!!

The pain of that Splintering, how can I bare it!

Tears well up without my permission,

Please leave me alone

I beg

Please leave me alone!

There’s no one to claw at,

to drag my nails across their skin,

My own hair seems to be strangling

In big chucks I pull it,

In swift motions I cut it.

Maybe they’ll see me now,

Oh how I desire their eyes

Oh how they horrify me

My bones will brake!

This pain, will not bend me!

I just know this will be the end

Even my dead hair is strangling

It strangles me,

So I’ll cut it off,

Sheer it clean

Impulsive action rests in my muscles

Finally some relief

Maybe I’ll be spared the splintering

But they are still watching

Unwanted attention still desperately desired

Why do I do this to me?

Nothing but my own blood

Is in my vains

No other words I’m my head

Then my own brain

My nose is clean

My tongue is empty

Sobriety even in my belly

And yet something

Something

I thought I cut it free

But something

Is still

Challenge
Normal human
We are all used to describing and relating our love with heavenly bodies- sun, moon, stars. Even storms and oceans. I was thinking if you could give me something different, something that is more like normal not cliché! Something related to daily routine. ( I'm not able to explain this but I hope you getting meeeee)

To do you justice

To compare you to the sun

would not do you justice

for it is not star dust and fire

that makes you blush

To liken my love to ocean

would be a lame simile

for a thought of you

is warm and comforting

To see our passion like a storm

would be blind to what it is

sweat and warm skin,

gentle whispers and grasping hands

To say we are eternal

would be a grave mistake

for what make our love so special

is the fleeting moments we spend togther.

Unconditional love

Unconditional love, makes it easier to hurt.

All your anger and pain can be pined to it, you can say missrable thing and do horrible deeds,

and know it will always be there.

When the world is cruel and no one can be blamed, it is so easy to point a heavy finger and hate what loves you so much.

But it is love that looks back, from under all the bitter, loathing, discontentment, angier, Pity and pain.

It is love you see in the mirror when you meet your face,

So take just a moment to let all the weight lift away, the darkness fade, and feel yourself loving so fearcly without even knowing.

Blisters

Somber cold, their feet pucker

On their nose, heat lingers

Heavy breath No longer held

The mountains, they surround us.
