Disruptive Poetry
I like to take it literally, but feel free to take it as illiterately as you like! There are many different ways to disrupt the flow of poetry. from the topic, to the grammar, to the word choice, and everywhere in-between. One caveat: try to be witty!

When Muses Sleep

Can’t awaken the beast?

Then disrupt his sleep.

If he ignores you, pull the fucking rug out from under his feet.

Oh he’s tired? Who isn’t?

Stop bitching to me.

The beast needs to fight for, inspire more, be redeemed.

Like flood you. Like drown you.

Screw the verbal striptease.

Scream,“WAKE UP! YOU FUCK!”

Still won’t listen?

Fucking leave.

OMG FML

I could If I tried,

Learn to not, suck at life.

Change the patterns.

Hang some lanterns.

Shed light, shred my pride.

It’s not the “wouldn’t.”

Nor the “shouldn’t.”

That creates such divide

It’s just the hocus and the pocus

Ain’t worth it, all the time.

Top Shelf

The Day went to sleep.

Fuck marvelous me!

Over-acted, distracted,

Please roll down your sleeves.

Fix your tie,

Fix your coat,

If not for me? For yourself.

These drinks, are on me.

Yes baby, top shelf.

Challenge
It's broken again. Can you fix it? Not this time.
Use the prompt anyway you want. It can be the theme of the poem or in the poem. I don't care. I just need to be able to tell. Make the poem short, but if it's long, it's okay, I'm not going to acually count how many words there are. And also tag me.

My Oak Gent

It’s broken again.

Oh no! Not again!?

What’s different?

Not much; I used to cry; now I grin.

Grin!? WHY grin!? He DID IT, AGAIN!

But THIS time I saw it coming and readied the ships.

Took ahold my resolve.

Doubled-up on defense.

Sipped a cup warm tea, and watched for the slip.

And slipped up he did! Oh, my it was glib!

It was all I could do not to laugh myself sick!

The fumble felt ageless, but the respite was quick.

And when I returned, saw nothing but sticks.

Tiny, weak branches I could break with a pinch.

Was all that remained of my sturdy oak gent.

Denying his darkness, thought light of his crimes.

It’s broken again. Can you fix it?

Not this time.
