Mom Guilt

There is

Not much

Woman

In me

After being

Mother

All day.

Do not misunderstand,

I love it,

Being mother.

Only

There are moments

I miss her,

The woman.

Who lived

And thought

Freely.

Whose life

Was not tethered

To another's

Heartbeat.

Beware of Menticide

It’s all about control

the illusion of freedom

keeping you busy

optimizing your time

Do you feel satisfied?

sophisticated boredom

edited self-esteem

instantaneous contact

networked loneliness

We’ve lost who we were!

unlimited choices

less empirical knowledge

algorithmic propaganda

You’re told what to believe!

delusional actions

collective psychosis

Made easier by isolation!

psychotic breakdown

societal chaos

We’ve become unable

or perhaps unwilling

to think for ourselves

Bait and Switch

Gave me butterflies

Or so I stupidly thought

Wasps. You gave me wasps.

something blue

they say you can’t buy

happiness with your money,

I bet that is true…

since the love we found

can’t seem to buy it either,

what’s left to pursue?

When your loved ones are in abusive relationships

I’m holding on

Holding out hope

Offering

Life is better on the other side

Of the line drawn in the sand

“Trust me”

Is the hope I have for you

Because I know what it’s like

Standing over there

Knowing the line is so arbitrary

So ultimate

You wonder why was it ever drawn

In the first place

But if you step over here

It’ll be over

And if you’re not ready to make that step

I’ll hope in time you’ll find

Reason enough in the love we have

To come back to reality

No Space Race Till We Fix What We Broke

Is it so crazy

That I don’t want to leave Home

To see Outer Space?

After all what’s next?

We begin mining the Moon?

We only have one

Woe to Industry

Progress that killed the Planet

In five-hundred years

Precious metals gone

So what is the Gold Standard?

Just what does it mean?

Hot toxic Oceans

And chemical groundwater

And acid rain

Is it so insane

To want to stay home instead

Of watching Earth burn?

Will Always Wins

think the most important thing is

Christ

I don't know

There's not a Word for it anymore

Once We Knew It

But sometime we forgot

How to say It

The Magic Word

It works

God

Has so many names because

We can't possibly describe

The Force

Which gives us solace

Surety of Knowing

We are alright

And we are going to be

Believe It

White cells attack the red ones

When something is off

They attack

So we must not see ourselves like that

Tainted and sour

Hungry for power

No

Show me one who went bad

Who was Wholly Loved Well

Cast a Spell

Let Us All Have Everything Good

Make Us Solid Inside

So We Shine Through Our Eyes

And Sow With Our Minds

Things Boldly Kind

Is it any wonder how when the leaves change color

Our moods brighten

Our soles lift

And carry us over the earth

It's our Purpose

Data says that we will turn on each other

When the going gets tough

When there is no longer enough

To go Around

But what's that Sound?

A Calling

One that reaches to the Center

Voices of our Ancestors

Who Knew The Word

And Who were clever enough to tell us

Fight

Scratch that 'instinct' that says it is not possible

To Believe Without Seeing

Get The Meaning

In Us Is Vision

Plain As Daylight

We Can See The Future

In Fact

It is we who make it

We Shape It

Why us?

Because Goodness Prevails

It cannot be assailed

By our transgressions

Only stalled

Till We Turn Around

Remember Who We Are

And Make It All Right

I pray

I Know We Will One Day

Hush

On days like this day

I like to sit and consider

The noise of nothing

I am 21 years or older.
