Party On

the older I get

the more I crave

alternate realities

black holes found

in dispensaries

bottles and pills

and special brownies

the rat race is boring

let’s party

Challenge
Kids these days
Just write from your perspective, be you young or old! Have fun!
nyzahida96

They Do.

Kids these days don't live like kids. I'm not saying the music they listen to has to be the same or that they must leave behind their technological devices for fresh air and socializing, but their mindset should be relaxed. It should be worry-free and it should be about wants not needs. When we become an adult, life gets harder because we realize we have to prioritize the things we can do and make sacrifices and compromises in order to survive and fulfill our needs. That's not a burden we should carry as children. Yet, the more I look at kids these days - they do.

Challenge
Write a poem or a piece of short prose using the words steel, steam, and stars.

Face reality

Wer are not children anymore, staring up at the stars

We have to face the fact, can’t put are feelings in a jar,

Were old enough to know were not superstars

Were old enough to know the world has there scars

We know water and fire makes steam,

We know nothing is as it seems

We know most people don’t get there dreams

The wold in its hole is completly extreem

We know were not made of bricks and steel

Its not fare but yet its real

We have people in our life no need to conseal

We have to face the way we feel

Dear God

I know you see me

Hear me still

I know you want me

care for me still

I just don't wasnt to disapont you

You and your beautiful acoplishments

I don't want to make you regret

That you carried the cross on you shoulders

I know its hard, But I'll never forget

Challenge

Days of Dreaming

Every morning I wake and wonder,

Am I awake or still dreaming.

If I close my eyes, my mind will wander,

and go back to imagining

all that could have been

and all that may happen.

Life is better in my head

Warm, cozy, and safe, in my bed.

Why should I get up today

just to do again what I do every day.

Life looked exciting when we were young,

But life for us had not yet begun.

We were told to chase our dreams,

But now they only exist in our dreams.

Describe yourself in a fifteen word sentence
Not separate words, but an entire sentence that is joined :) No language or blasphemy.
bunniesee in Nonfiction

I often look at myself in the mirror, hoping I would see a different person.

Challenge
Pen to the Paper 3
Write with no plan. Sit down and write a story, a poem, a "mind-wandering," with absolutely no plan in mind. I find myself doing this a lot, and I want to see what your stories that have not been planned out look like. After writing the first draft, you can revise it however many times you like.

stop scrolling

lift your finger from the wheel and let it exist in its own being

feel your mind take in everything around you, let it drift

~~

look down at your clothes

did you buy them for yourself or for others?

~~

look at the space around you

does it represent who you are?

or does it simply fill empty space?

~~

glance out the window

is it late out? maybe you should get some sleep

maybe you see a girl walking by, maybe she looks lonely like you

you smile and see an entire life with her

then you remember

you’re inside on your computer

I don’t like books...I think.

You sucked.

I thought you had 5 stars.

5 STARS.

Well...I didn’t make it past page 18!

Don’t criticize me.

I like writing.

I prefer that to reading.

I don’t read very often.

And here I am,

surrounded by writers,

Who love reading.

Well, what would they say?

Would it surprise you if....

If...the last chapter book I read, was about 2 years ago?
