Some say it's the lack of color

Other say its all colors combined

I say its walking on legos in the middle of the night

with the sound of feet coming from the hall

and your the only one home.

I win either way

Shakespere said

Love me or hate me

Both are in my favor

If you love me I will always be in your heart

If you hate me I will always be in your mind

Honesty

Guilt stabs through me as I watch with quivering hands. Why was I so honest? Why didn’t I lie? I should have said nothing of what happened. Yet, why? Why must my honesty make these scences in front of me so brutely unfold. My lungs catch fire as she turns toward me. Tears drip down her face. Her mouth open as if she was screaming at me. I hear nothing though. My ears feel as if they fell off. I watch as she falls onto the floor. Screams pierce through my ears. Her arms fall to the ground. They are no longer able to block his fists as he hammers them down on her. I watch on my knees, my body shaking. I relize I’m the one screaming. He turns to face me. I inhaled my screams. My lungs clenching in protest. He shakes his head slightly, ashamed, then turns to the sky. He moves toward the door.

As he leaves I crawl toword her. I call for her. My voice shaking. She just lays there. Her eyes wide open. I grab her hand and hold it in my own. As the warmth slowly leaves her I know, somewhere deep within I know, I’m all alone. In this room I was alone. My eyes search the room. They settle on a picture. A man, standing tall and proud, has his arms wrapped around a blushing young women. A girl, me, sitting on his shoulders with my arms to the sky. We were grinning ear to ear. Suddenly the glass cracked. The frame yet to have a chance to collect dust splintered.

Those smiles still shining brightly in this cold, dark room. What is the truth? The smiling faces or the broken glass? Me being held high or unable to stand? I lay exhausted on the cold ground. My tears no longer able to fall. If only I didn’t mention the other man. If only I had lied.

Good night sheep

One sheep, two sheep, three sheep, more sheep

Runing from wolves

One sheep, two sheep, three sheep, more sheep

People count sheep to help them sleep

One person, two people, three and more

Chasing the wolves to help sheep sleep

One person, two people, three and more
