津波

a single drop

is no more than a single drop

it may be made of billions of atoms

but it is just a single drop

yet it is a peculiar thing

that a single drop is nothing

even two drops are nothing

three, four, five

still not worth noting

but when you have so many more

when the number of drops is no less than

the number of atoms in a single drop

these mere drops are no longer mere drops

they coalesce and cascade into one another

crashing violently

seemingly foreign to the calm drops of nothing they once were

the drops become a storm

calm seas die and are reincarnated as tidal waves

ones that no monsoon could ever hope to create

here is where the monsters of legend are found

the Kraken, Scylla, the Devil Whale, this

is there home

with a step of Poseidon

drops become bombs

exploding above the tides

single drops

no more

they are

the tsunami.

a spark, a single spark

we are born with nothing

and it is because we are born with nothing

that we can become

anything.

all it takes is a spark

to light the candles within us

to light our bodies

our minds.

once our wicks are lit

we too have the power of the spark

a mystical magic

that can light more wicks

more bodies

more minds.

everyone starts from nothing

but we can all be illuminated

all it takes is a spark

a single spark

for our hearts and our minds

to burst in bright rays

and paint the world

in a shining light.

the spark is the magic

that turns us from nothing

into

anything.

we can think

and feel

and do

and act

and be.

born with nothing

we gain the power to feel

and then to think

and then to wonder

and plan

and do

and act.

this spark

whose shine

can be seen in our eyes

our hearts

shines and shines

and shines.

a light

born from nothing

becomes anything

everything.

Snow Sounds Softly

Snow.

Snow sounds softly

Serenely.

Snow-swept soil

Speaks silently

Splendidly.

Swans

Swim shallowly

Sleepily.

Silent.

Silent sorrows

Surrounded scene

Snow sounding softly.

Sad sands

Sail

Swiftly.

Subzero skywalk

Snores soot.

Snoozed sky

Summons something sleepy

Soon.

Slumped snow

Silky

Smooth

Surely spewed sadly.

Shipped sleet

Surfs

Sly.

Serendipity sounds sweet.

We have managed to inspire creation.

Verbose

While I try to be pragmatic with my use of words, I simply cannot help it. There is no particular reason for it, but I just have trouble condensing my words into concise packets that are easily digestible for those whom I speak to. Unfortunately, it never ends up in such a neat ending. For this, I come off as voluble and garrolous, unable to ever shut my mouth! It's like I just don't know when to stop If I were to talk about any of my weaknesses, I would have to say that it is that I speak too

Tunnel Vision

I was happy.

I was so, so happy.

I was happier than I'd ever been.

But, I was in so deep

That I got tunnel vision.

I thought things would go on like that

Forever.

I couldn't even imagine

That one day

It would fade into nothingness.

Now, here I am

Somewhere I never thought I'd be.

And it hurts.

It hurts to look back on what I had.

It hurts to remember how I felt.

It hurts to understand that it's gone.

I wish I'd known.

I should've expected this to happen.

But, I just couldn't.

I was so happy.

I was so happy with what I had.

And it hurts to know that the feeling is gone.

If I'd been able to see ahead

Maybe I could've changed things.

Maybe things didn't have to end so sourly like this.

Maybe I'd still be happy now.

But, I couldn't see ahead.

I lived happily, so happily

But unknowing of what was to come.

The sadness that would ensue.

The pain I would feel.

And right now

Everything hurts.

This emptiness hurts so much.

The worst part is

I can't look ahead at all

But I can only look back.
