Finding Purpose

One must realize "a part of learning is dying". When undergoing internal struggle, look inward, filter out what feels unnatural, what you are forcing yourself to do as a result of external pressure, because that is not your purpose. It may be someones purpose but it is not yours. Accepting this is not easy, you are stripping conceived aspects of your identity.

However, then and only then, are you able to listen to your spirit uncontaminated by self-deception and preconditions. Listen to your spirit and you will find purpose, fulfillment, and your true self.

Challenge
How To:
Write a satire How To news article. Make it funny, I want to fall out of my chair because I'm laughing to hard reading these. A couple examples could be How to Become a Misogynist or How to Become a Vegan, but don't do either of those, think of your own idea. Happy writing!!

Shrimp Fried Rice In 4 Steps!

Shrimp fried rice, how hard can it be?

Step 1: Find an experienced Shrimp chef. (The best are found at the Bikini Bottom)

Step 2: Greet the Shrimp in his proper dialect. (There are many tongues of the shrimp language).

Step 3: Bow and request the Shrimp to fry the rice you have brought before him.

Step 4: If deemed worthy, the shrimp will fry your rice, and your guests will be pleased.

Challenge
Five Sentence Freakout!
The point of this challenge is to write a strictly five sentence horror/thriller story with your first sentence being: “Four minutes in and I knew I had made a colossal mistake.” Notice: The sentence prompt count as your FIRST sentence, meaning you will write 4 more to complete the five-sentence-freakout. (Blatant run-on sentences will be a negative grade when judging these). Have fun and Happy Halloween!

No one had to die

Four minutes in and I knew I had made a colossal mistake. I needed the money. Why did the clerk try and be a hero? No one had to die.

Challenge
Not What It Seems...
In a short, not more than 50 words, start with something that seems beautiful but surprises us, or perhaps begin with something that seems sinister and turns out to be quite lovely. However you'd like to go. See my example if you need a hint, but feel free to take the prompt as you wish! God bless and much success! PLEASE tag me @LexiCon in the comments after you've finished your piece). It's been a while since I've hosted a challenge (and really interacted much with the site in general) I pray you've all been well! Much love.

Goodbye Old Friend

I got home from work to see Abby, my dog, for her daily greeting, Same spot as always, I reach down to pet her when I noticed her heavily breathing and in pain, I was the last to come home, she waited to say bye one last time.
