I got home from work early about to surprise him. When I see my boyfriend making out with my best friend. My blood boiled in fury I said how could you do this to me. He said she’s way better than you anyways. I said remember you said that and you are gonna be begging me to take you back and I will make sure you regret this! I slam the door shut. Bam!

A few months later I had a brilliant plan to make him wish he never messed with me. I changed my look, my status, my personality, my identity. I made myself so different that no one would recognize me.

I saw him in a coffee shop and went in and sat down a table right in front of him. I caught him staring. And when his girlfriend left he came over. He said you look so good can I get your number. I said if you see me again then it means it fate that we meet. Then I might give it to you. Then I walked away.

The next time I saw him it was in a park. I walked past him wondering if he would notice me. Then he pulls me and said do you remember from the other day. I just stared at him shocked. He said from the coffee shop. I said just like fate. Smirk. I was about to walk away when he stopped me. He was like what does it take to get your number. I stared at him wide-eyed. Then I just laughed and said I don’t know. If you around like a penguin down the block. He laughed said seriously. I said yep. He said follow me. I said fine. When he was done he was the laughing stock of the park. I slipped him my number and whisper call me and walked away.

One day out of the blue he texted then called. He asked to meet up. But I said I was very busy. He would have to tell me weeks before. He agreed. He asked if he could go on a date with me. I laughed and said you’re going have to try harder than that. I ended the call. After that, he texted me every day try to impress me. I swear he was trying so hard but his efforts were useless. After that, I agreed to go on a date under the condition that he was gonna pay for everything. The date was fine until my ex bestie called me. I picked and what do you want. She said I think my boyfriend is cheating on me. I laughed and said great. That what you get for betraying me to date a scumbag. She said don’t end the call can we meet up I miss you. I said now you know importance of me well then bye. I’m busy messing up my ex. Then I ended the call. It took her a while to put the pieces together. She just texted how dare you. I laugh and texted like you can do anything. He took me home.

After a while, he showered me with compliments and gifts. Then after a few months of trying to get me, I became his girlfriend. Then, a week later I said to him this was all a joke do you remember me who I am. He was like what do you mean. I laughed and do you think I ever like you. Well, I never I was just toying with so you would get your hopes up. If you think about I didn't even have to lift a finger and did everything for me like a dog. He was like I can't believe you are her how could lie to me like that. I said judging by what you did to me I went easy on you. Well, I'm done here and walked away.

In the end, I made them both regret what they did to me. I gave them both a taste of their own medicine. But I didn't get the satisfaction I wanted to get. The thing I realized is that revenge is not what I want. I wanted someone to accept me and they didn't so, I wanted them to pay. But it wasn't their fault. I guess I regret wasting so much time on them. On the other hand, I learn to stand up for myself. Which was something I really needed.
