Purging doubts, I’m fine
Millennial from the marshes and plains
Sitting at the edge of the mountains, thinking
I always wanted to climb, but it turns out
My lungs weren't made for the altitude
And I wonder whether I can stand out here
Because who knew I was so podunk
Till I tried to make small-talk with the cashier ~
“Run Past the Line”
I used to be a sprinter; running has shaped so much of who I am today. I learned to never slow before crossing the finish line. Run through the dang line! Push hardest at the end, and use that steam to get ahead!
Dream Reconveyed 1
A dream of night-eyed beavers
Three or more of them aflame –
Their carnival-treat tails scuffled 'cross
Busted blocks of 20th century concrete –
Buck-tooth’d spits and hisses drowned
In the sound of falling timber –
Conveyed in the hellish glow
Of the mammals' nostrils and eye sockets –
Untamed, pelts blackened by wildfire,
The colony'd reclaimed one of Man’s broken dams –
And backed me down the bone-dry spillway
Till my heels met the littered riverbed –
And so I remember the smell of mud and smoke
Regardless of whether I was ever there ~
MY NOVEL IS FINISHED!
Mily the Millennial: A Tall Tale
This Book Contains a Tall Tale.
The story picks up in the summer of 2001, when nearly-eight-year-old Mily Junegrass Womack-Yoder trips into a patch of Pitcher's thistle. All at once, she loses almost all her marbles and winds up with magic bugs in her brain.
The 'Clairs' -- a name Mily coined on account of the bugs' various clairvoyances -- give Mily a higher sense of awareness. With the Clairs' powers, she might just stand a chance against her family's curse of Schleprockness.
Mily's story is riddled with 'impossible' events. The most unlikely of these may seem flung into the Land of Far-Fetched. When it feels like improbability has no limit, remember this: Euchre is a game of tricks.

Braindump to Raise Confidence
I'm so close to the End.
I can feel it, right there.
It's looming straight ahead, if I can just reach.
Writing a novel is work man.
The kind that makes calloused hands.
A few tens-of-thousands of words back, I thought:
I'll never make it.
But here I am now, mere pages away.
What comes after?
Readers, I hope, at least some.
Things seem to have shaped up nicely so why...
Can't I decide what is still left unsaid?
Isn't it strange how follow-through...
Feels almost like getting letting down?
Even so, I'm here, so near it hurts.
All I want to do is write
Except I'm what you call
So usually I just
Burn the hell out
Get so spent I
Can't possibly free myself
To think creatively -
No plug ≥ No power
'Guess I'll have time after'
Even when I know
I already misused my energies
Too stubborn to admit
That this action is vital
To my longevity
To my wellbeing
Well to my Sense
