Grave

She marks her grave with X's and O's

Dug with two unequivocal hands

Masking the sentiments of which

Her soul was born to die in.

Silent A

They call me Silent A—

Who am I? They ask and don't ask

Slithering into a discussion about

School, politics, what happened on the news—

While everyone gazes for a reaction,

Do they look concerned? What are they thinking? Do they know?

But you can't seem to get out of the dazed,

Confused state I put you in.

I come when you least expect it—

In the middle of a bar,

The music pumping, juices flowing

Through your body.

The heart starts pounding,

Panic sets in like a

Storm crossing the horizon.

You look around, making sure no one notices.

In the middle of the night—

3am as silence fills the air,

Coming off of sleep meds and

Mixture of Vodka Tonics and Merlot,

Anything to keep the mind

At an altered state of nowhere and beyond.

But I’m screaming at you,

The toxicity won’t keep me away.

I'm the one who kills—

Friendships, relationships, your purified mind

Keeping you away from what you love,

What you don't love.

Standing in that darkened corner,

Waiting for that next high off of me.

They call me Silent A—

You can't see me, they can't see me, but I see you.

Baby Doll

From the time we are born,

We are treated like baby dolls.

Light to hold,

Soft to touch,

Scared that any scrape

Would result in a foreign scar

Manipulating our bodies

Making them untouchable

undesirable to look at

and be admired by the male’s prying eyes.

Baby doll you are nice to look at,

Is that soft skin of yours untouched?

We are taught not to speak our minds,

The words that come out of our mouths

Needs to be lady like

Soft like our skin

Easy to listen to.

Using foul language

Makes us unstable,

Unusable,

A whore.

Go back to the kitchen,

Make a sandwich

Your words mean nothing.

Nothing--

Like how we are something to look at,

Treated like animals,

Cat calling,

Wild animalistic voices

Spill out like vomit.

Touched when wanted,

Then thrown away like trash.

Our fragile baby doll like bodies

Needs guidance from the ego they say,

Our soft minds can’t handle the pressure.

From the time we are born,

We should know a woman’s body.

A temple for her taking, liking

Her desire to be nourished

For a strong building

That can’t be knocked down

By words, force, actions of the ego.

Not a baby doll with soft skin,

But a warrior with thick desire to achieve

Her own needs.

Speak the words that will demolish a nation,

Powered by the need and unintended consequence.

Soft skin thickened with leather,

By the voice of the ego.

From the time we are born,

We are phenomenal women.

With a voice that starts flames,

Glowing fire in our eyes,

With the flash of our teeth,

Swing of our waist.

We aren’t a baby doll,

Soft to touch,

Light to hold.

But a woman,

Phenomenally.

Chanson D’Automne

Leaf-strewing gales

Utter low wails

Like violins,--

Till on my soul

Their creeping dole

Stealthily wins....

Days long gone by!

In such hour, I,

Choking and pale,

Call you to mind,--

Then like the wind

Weep I and wail.

And, as by wind

Harsh and unkind,

Driven by grief,

Go I, here, there,

Recking not where,

Like the dead leaf.

Venom

Red eyes of Crimson,

Pieces of fragment glass

Shattered of hatred.

Sing to me,

Your tongue of venom.

A slithering snake of deception,

Pusillanimous to the core.

Not The Wind

Your body filled with a dreadful chill,
Stared at your desk, and the white old quill.
Windy night, the quill moved slight,
You turned the switch, seeking light.

No light came, the bulb was dead,
You thought of going back to bed.
Suddenly noticed, quill moved slight,
You approached, with all your might.

Not the wind, window was closed,
Heart raced, a message exposed.
You read in horror, ink was red,
"Not the wind, go back to bed!"

Adorn

The bright arrogate colors

Surround me in mass

Closing my eyes is futile

Their obnoxious laughs

Mock me?

It's the red one

That taunts me relentlessly

With a disturbing madness

Which barks after me?

The others whimsically dance

A sadistic destruction

They paint war upon them

A trademark

That no two carry

People fawn over them

Placing them everywhere

No matter my hiding

I'll never be free

Kiss Me Deeply

hold me

then

kiss me deeply

then tongue out

from my mouth

my wedding gift

specially for you

a headless cockroach

Witches’ Prayer

We sing to thee ole hollow one,

Under the swollen midnight sun.

Around the Caldron we shall roam,

Full of beauty, neon, and brome.

As we hum your loving prayer

Hear our echo through the air.

Send forth the spirit to learn your ways,

So we can have truth through out our days.

We ask thee oh guardian for advice,

So we sing this line Thrice! Thrice!

Unlearned we are in aught,

Be our messenger and plans be taught.

We say thank you and listen for all to hear,

Ending this prayer with love and quaere.

Let Us Pray

Let us go to the temple.

Hold our crosses,

Kiss our hands,

The price of our sins

Paid for in blood.

I shall be a vagabond on earth,

and everyone that findeth me shall slay me.

Blood of the vengeance,

The sweat and the spunk

I can smell it.

The things we've done

The bills we have to pay

Why go to hell!

When the Devils are here to play.
