Nonsense

Rumripe racks of rippled raisins,

lack of tact leads guns a-blazin'.

Sugarshots slick with condensation

dancing down the veins of Jason.

Prepunch pinch, the needle bites

flowing red and out of sight

Donate! Donate! More tonight!

Buildings fall and men delight.

Hardhung Harry hangs his head

pouring shots for all the dead.

Off the gong at dawn's first red,

names to graves are thusly wed.

Nevermore, evermore, God,

amen.

Ex

Unbearable,

your happiness. Unbearable.

Observe

Watching, from the moral sideline,

all the things fall apart:

marriages and days-free-from-X-Y-and-Z,

dreams, minds, paperback spines,

crumbling beneath the test of time.

Found wanting.

Everyone found wanting

more

than what they find.

Rough night,

she said, alone in her room.

God, rough night.

Self-Inflicted

Your best self

stares back at me from her photos,

a ghost in the skin of a prince,

an ache in all the wrong places,

a manifest of my failure

to love cautiously.

Boundaries

He cries for Freedom

and we haul him back;

we chain him so he doesn't

disappear.

He doesn't understand that

once you cross the line

there's simply nothing there.

Cold Turkey

Time

Too much time --

time's a good word to rhyme with

I'd like a lime with my...uh..brine.

Shoot me a line when my credit card's declined.

We can rewind to the scene of the crime, yeah that's closer to time

in terms of rhyme,

I was getting a little off.

Stream of consciousness yo, it's the worst. Like Eminem I hate my verse, it's a curse, blah blah my word hearse is terse.

Shit and shout let's dance it out.

Dance it out.

Dance it out.

Bass drop.

Time.
