In fifteen words, what is love?

Amore

Obsessive, compulsion;

Balance, imperfection

Jelousy, dominance;

Careful, submissive

Not one definition,

Multiple executions

Challenge

As The World Falls Down

Quinzel. Orphanage.

An unfinished plot swirling deep in my head,

Words don’t flow but squeak out awkwardly instead.

A young girl, maybe seven or eight.

Mass communication process and how one turns into what they hate.

They thought kids can’t turn villinous, it’s true, you see.

The can’t become villions if they themselves don’t know true villony.

A different galaxy, adoption papers fly.

Suddenly she’s standing on a military run world, among military supplies.

This is not Star Wars, nor Lord of the Rings, nor Hobbit, nor Catch-22, nor any of those other dystopian things. An orinal dystopian ring.

Hunger

Nose is crumbled and eyes shut tight

Don’t worry, sweetheart, I’ll take care of you tonight

Dinner was late, so breakfast can skip,

No time for snacks in the evening, no lunch, don’t give me lip

Sleep should come fast, maybe an apple before we rest

You’ll burn it off later, crying in bed

But look at the nation,

The disease is aching

You aren’t like them,

You aren’t doing it for friends

The self control is breaking.

Lucid

I slept with my parents until twelve

Wedged between them, smug and sound

Used to having strange thoughts

Used to having odd dreams

It was not uncommon for me to suddenly wake unpleased

There once was a blue room;

A replica of our home

Underneath the stairwell

Where my one hundred pretend siblings used to roam

There lie portals;

Of grey and green

Swirling great masses

For jumps to different universes or anywhere in between

There was a maze;

A terrible, great big bad maze.

I felt as if I were floating with black and ivory flora

It’s a wonder I stayed sane

I would jolt awake at that, paralyzed with fright

My parents however, slept on, no qualm about my sights

I no longer consider any of these dire dreams

Instead longingly gazing at my cat, who now is the one that dreams

I’m glad that childish youth left as a faze;

But come to think of it, I never did escape the maze.

Challenge
Write about depression.
Write a poem about depression. How it feels. How you came out of it. How it has affected you. (no mass tagging please)

Entrapment

I’m throwing up flowers,

I’m bleeding out leaves,

The Vines, they crawl, suffocating me

The smoke coming from my ears,

Fogs my spiderweb threaded head,

And the Flames,

Lapping at my roots,

Destroy nothing but my last hopeful shred

Wish-wash and pan at the river,

Hopeless highs doomed to die,

I counted my seasons,

Failed attempts to wither The Vines,

I should have payed closer attention,

To my fertilizer supply.

Epistemophobia

Apprehension. Detailed attention

You wake in the morning, but have no thoughts;

An assemblage of dark grey in the mind, fraught

Moonlit conversations prove worthy at two a.m

Gentle spills drip from the faucet of ghost words;

At any other time you would sound absurd

Now listen. Holy contention

Glorification of omissions and clandestine information;

My mind now holds various notations

Demons runs rampant under what used to be comforting twinkles

More than meets the eye is a charcoal soul;

In the years we’ve been separate you lack self control

Forbear from attack. A shrewd coward, you lack

Drunken shrugs and hollow bellied laughs;

The crack of dawn brings me back my class

Beauty beholds many objects, however it just dropped one

I vividly remember that night, while you remember none

Golden drops illuminate my well fixed facade

You dropped a concealment, I lost some trust;

Stuck in an endless game of revealed cat and mouse, I readjust
