They’re Coming

I knew I shouldn't have fired that gun earlier, I could've just ran from Ms. Widdlen. But she kept ignoring my threats and slowly stumbling towards me, like some sort of monster straight from "Day Of The Dead". I couldn't help it, I panicked and kept shooting till she collapsed on the ground. I don't regret shooting her cause I saw what she did to Jordan and she deserved every last bullet. My problem now is that more those "things" must have heard the shots and they are swarming my house, trying to get in. I don't know if this will be my last journal entry, but to anybody who reads this after I'm gone... Good luck.

A Strange Meal

"Son, I have something important to tell you." My father said in his usual monotonous voice. He was normally creepy with his dark eyes, pale skin and still demeanour, but today it seemed as if he had a fire smouldering inside of him. He was looking intensely queer, sitting across from the strange looking meats that we called an thanksgiving meal. "Ever since your mother has disappeared, I have gained a peculiar taste for certain types of beef." he continued "I think its time you acquired the taste too." The light from the flickering candles casted a sinister shadow upon his face. It then when I noticed he had a uncharacteristically twisted smile upon his face. "The feast that we will be enjoying for this extravagant holiday is extra special for we will be joined by your mother!" He said in voice as if it was an inside joke. "She won't be sitting with us, but-" The crooked smile of his somehow got wider as he fell in a fit of laughter. After taking a moment to compose himself he finally managed to choke out in a horse whisper "she will be the main meal!"
